World Wrestling Championships 2024: Schedule, where to watch, USA athletes competing and more

The 2024 World Wrestling Championships is all set to take place between October 28-31 in Tirana, Albania. The event will majorly focus on the non-Olympic weight categories and will be held in three divisions- Freestyle, Greco-Roman, and Women's Wrestling.

The United States will enter the 2024 tournament as defending champions in the freestyle division. Meanwhile, Azerbaijan and Japan will be the defenders in the Greco-Roman and Women's wrestling, respectively. On this note, let's know more about the 2024 World Wrestling Championships.

World Wrestling Championships 2024: How and where to watch

Live streaming of all the events from the 2024 World Wrestling Championships will be available on the website of UWW. Besides, the UWW app and streaming service provider, Flowrestling will also be showing the event.

World Wrestling Championships 2024: US athletes competing in the event

Olympic medalist David Taylor will be one of the major highlights of the Championships for the US team. Having previously won three World Championships gold medals in the 86kg category, Taylor will compete in the 92kg bracket this time around.

Other members of the freestyle US wrestling team in the event include Jordan Burroughs (79kg), Vito Arujau (61kg), and James Green (70kg).

The US Women's wrestling team for the event will consist of Areana Villaescusa (55kg), Jacarra Winchester (59kg), Macey Kilty (65kg), and Kylie Welker (72kg).

Meanwhile, Brady Koontz (55kg), Ildar Hafizov (63kg), Benjamin Peak (72kg), and Aliaksandr Kikinou (75kg) will represent the US side in the Greco-Roman division.
