Riley Gaines recently reacted to the New Orleans vehicle attack that occurred in the early hours of New Year's Day. The attack has left at least fifteen people dead, and several others injured.
According to several media reports, the accused, who has been identified as Shams-ud-din Jabbar, rammed a rented pickup truck into the crowd at the Bourbon Street. The accused also allegedly open fire at the crowd, leaving several people dead.
Gaines reacted to the situation, as she posted on her X handle [formerly Twitter],
"Sad you have to consider the possibility of getting plowed down by a terrorist when making NYE plans. This is the America Biden has created."
Gaines also posted several other tweets about the incident, where she called out the authorities over the incident. In one of the posts, the 24-year-old social activist mentioned,
"100%. This whole "___ days until accountability" isn't satisfactory. Accountability and transparency should be demanded now."
In another post, Gaines wrote,
"It's amazing how virtually all 3 letter government agencies accomplish the exact opposite of what they're supposed to. FBI, DHS, DOJ, DOE, etc etc etc."
Riley Gaines has been campaigning on several issues, including illegal immigration, national security, safety of women etc. She had previously called out the authorities for not acting on the arson incident at the New York subway that left a woman burnt to death.

A few weeks ago, Riley Gaines had expressed her thoughts on the New York subway incident. According to the media reports, the accused immigrant, who had been deported to Guatemala once, had attacked the woman, and burnt her alive.
Gaines reacted to the situation, as she wrote on her X timeline,
"We're witnessing the planned and controlled destruction of this country"
In another post, Gaines called out the authorities for not addressing the concerns around illegal immigration as she posted,
"Let me get this straight, the same people who said people like Daniel Penny make the subways unsafe have been totally silent after an illegal man set a sleeping woman on fire in the subway ??? Got it"
Riley Gaines has also campaigned against the participation of trans athletes in women's sports since 2022. The former NCAA swimmer first came into limelight when she campaigned against the bias shown by the NCAA towards transgender swimmer Lia Thomas at the NCAA Championships in 2022.
