Simone Biles expressed her affection for her husband Jonathan Owens as the latter celebrated his 29th birthday on July 22. The Olympic medalist complimented the Chicago Bears’ safety for his looks, claiming he was getting better and better with each passing year.
Biles met Owens through a dating app, Raya, in 2020. They immediately clicked and started dating before the COVID-19 Pandemic hit. In August of that year, the couple officially announced their relationship via a cuddling photo on Instagram. Following nearly two years of dating, the couple got engaged in February 2022, and a year later, they tied the knot in April 2023.
Both Biles and Owens have been frequently spotted at each other's competitions but for now, they are miles apart. The Olympic medalist is all set to compete at the Paris Olympics 2024 while the NFL safety is gearing up for his first season with the Chicago Bears.
Jonathan Owens celebrated his 29th Birthday on July 22, and while Simone Biles’ wasn't there to cut the cake with him, she shared a heartfelt post for her husband on Instagram. The 27-year-old wrote:
"happy happy birthday to my husband, best friend, confidant and party goer ❤️ thanks for being the calm to my storm! i love you with all my heart and I can’t wait to see what this year brings! let’s do it big baby💋😘✨ wish I was there to celebrate you, but I’ll see you soon!!! XO @jowens."
Later, Owens shared a series of pictures from his training camp with the Chicago Bears to celebrate his 29th Birthday.
Simone Biles couldn't stop gushing over the pictures and commented:
"you get sexier every year 🥵"
Is Jonathan Owens going to support Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics 2024?
Yes, Jonathan Owens is going to support Simone Biles at the Paris Olympics 2024. In a rare NFL exception, Owens has been allowed by the Chicago Bears to miss a few training sessions and travel to Paris to support her wife.
"Just because we respect the Olympics. That is a big deal. And he's just supporting the one he loves the most. And I think that's so cool that he gets to do that," Bears' coach Eberflus told ESPN.
"We welcome that, and it's going to be awesome. Go USA," he added.
Owens has been exempted from training from July 29 to August 3, and while he wouldn't be able to watch all of Biles’ competition, he would still witness a lot. The 29-year-old will be able to watch the women's team finals and the vault finals, which take place on August 03.
