Noah Lyles recently reacted to the USATF allowing athlete walk-ins at the upcoming U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials 2024. The American athlete expressed his excitement for the inclusion of the new measure of NBA-like walk-ins at the Olympic trials.

Noah Lyles has been speaking about including measures in track and field to make the sport more popular among the general masses. He felt that track and field athletes are putting forward world-class performances on during events however, track meets other than major championships and the Olympics fail to attract a wider audience.

He has been speaking about the inclusion of athlete walk-ins at track and field meets which would allow fans to know more about the athlete's off-track personality. Lyles reacted to the USATF officially declaring walk-in to be a part of the Olympic trails scheduled for next week.

" We want to give you the chance to showcase your personal style off the track or field. If you are interested in participating in a venue walk-in moment, bring your best outfit and reach out to [email protected] so we can help you capture your walk in," read the official statement.

Noah Lyles took to Instagram stories to share his excitement about the athlete walk-in at the Olympic trials.

"Olympic Trials Walk-in You know I'm being all the fits," he wrote.

Noah Lyles believes inculcating fashion as a part of track and field will help the sport become popular in the likes of the NBA and the NFL as well as help athletes to crack major brand deals. In an attempt to make fashion a part of the track and field culture, he started an Instagram page called Track and Fits in 2022 that featured track athletes in their best off-track fits.

He spoke to the New York Times about bringing in fashion and amalgamating it with track culture. Furthermore, he revealed that he had spoken to many athletes about bringing a change.

“Why aren’t there any track and field people in here? Obviously, it’s not happening because we aren’t doing it. But why aren’t we doing it?.I had to explain what the idea was to a lot of athletes, which I thought was going to be the easiest part, because everyone watches the N.B.A. and N.F.L.But I guess I’m the only one that pays attention,” he said.

Lyles will now be competing at the U.S. Olympic track and field trials alongside some of the best American athletes for a spot in the U.S. Olympic team.
