American athlete Tara Davis-Woodhall sent a motivational message to her husband and athlete Hunter Woodhall ahead of his first-ever gold medal at the Paris Paralympics 2024. The 25-year-old bagged gold in the 400m T62 race with a time of 46.36s on Friday, September 6. His gold medal win came just a few weeks after his wife’s victory at the Paris Olympics.
Hunter Woodhall’s wife and long jump athlete Tara Davis-Woodhall won her first-ever gold medal at the 2024 Olympics. The 25-year-old impressed with her jump of 7.10m. Moreover, she won the gold medal in the World Indoor Championship this year. In 2023, she won the silver medal in the event at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest. Throughout Davis-Woodhall’s rising athletic career, she has received support from her husband.
So, recently, when the spotlight was on Hunter, she enlightened him with words of motivation. In an Instagram video collaborating with Woodhall’s sponsor brand Lululemon, Tara Davis-Woodhall encouraged her husband to make the most of his moment. The video showed Hunter and Tara practising on the track followed by a few snaps of him warming up.
She said in the video:
“Hunter, you’ve been there for every moment. The injury moments, the moments I doubted myself, and the moment I jumped to the top of the world. But this moment, this moment…. This is your moment, Hunter.”
Hunter Woodhall finished ahead of Germany’s Johannes Floors at 46.90s and the Netherlands’ Olivier Hendriks at 46.91s in the men's 400m T62 at the Paralympics 2024.
