Nyjah Huston's mother is Kelle Huston. She is not only his mother but also currently manages his career. Kelle Huston and Adeyemi Huston were childhood sweethearts but got divorced in 2010.

Kelle Huston is the Chief Operating Officer of Nyjah Huston, Inc., located in Laguna Beach, California. She has 486 followers and 470 connections on LinkedIn. Kelle attended UC Santa Cruz and has extensive experience in athlete management, business management, and visionary roles. From July 2009 to December 2019, she served as the Executive Director of the nonprofit organization with Nyjah called "Let It Flow," which focuses on repairing inoperable water wells in developing countries.

In an interview with Jenkem Magazine, she shared insights into her unique upbringing of Nyjah and his sibling. Raised in a conservative, country club-going family, Kelle was drawn to the opposite side of the spectrum. She reunited with her rebellious sixth-grade boyfriend, Adeyemi, in their senior year of high school, and together they embraced the Rastafarian way of life.

Kelle homeschooled all of her children, following a structured academic curriculum for maths, reading, and writing, while teaching history from their perspective. The rest of their education came organically through their lifestyle, which included travel, horticulture, nutrition, construction, and a significant amount of skateboarding. Their daily routine involved feeding animals, engaging in various projects, cooling off in the river, skating, and listening to reggae music.

In 2004, the Huston family purchased a skatepark, a decision that would profoundly impact Nyjah's life. This 15,000-square-foot facility became a daily training ground for Nyjah and his father. While Kelle never dreamed of her children becoming professional skateboarders, the sport fit perfectly into their autonomous lifestyle. Nyjah, in particular, showed extraordinary discipline and a natural talent for skateboarding, often skating alone for hours.

As Nyjah and his siblings grew older, they began to desire a more conventional life, wanting to go to school, make friends, and have more freedom. Kelle recognized that their strict lifestyle was holding them back, leading to her decision to let go of their belief system. This choice ultimately led to the breakup of her marriage and the separation of the family.
