The Summer Olympic season is back once again after a gap of three years to the delight of the fans all over the world This time around, Paris, France will be hosting the Summer Olympic Games, after being awarded with the hosting rights at the 131st IOC session in Lima, Peru, in 2017. Notably, the city of Paris will become a three-time host of the Olympic Games in 2024, following 1900 and 1924.

France itself will become a six-time host of the Olympic Games in 2024 with two previous Summer Olympics and three previous Winter Olympics in its record. Moreover, this edition of the Summer Olympics is based on the themes of peacefulness, water and equality with 206 National Olympic Committees (NOC’s) expected to be present throughout the tournament. Furthermore, breaking (breakdancing) will be making its debut for the first time as a sport in the Olympics.

Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony tickets?

The 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France, is all set to have its Opening Ceremony on July 26, 2024 from 19:30 pm - 23:15 pm. Notably, the opening ceremony will be held outside the stadium for the first time in the history of the Olympics as it will take place at the centre of Paris along the Seine river.

Moreover, the Opening ceremony will include a parade of athletes on the Seine with boards for all the national delegations. These boards will have cameras so people can watch the athletes on TVs and online. Furthermore, the boats will move from east to west across the Seine through Paris and it will be a 6 km route ending in front of the Trocadero, which will host the athletics and cycling events in 2024.

It is worth noting that the ceremony will have free entrance for fans on the upper quays. However, fans wishing to use the lower quays from the Austerlitz bridge to the lena bridge will need to purchase tickets. The tickets are starting at 900.00 euros. Categories A, B, C, D and E+ are for reserved seating purposes while category E will be standing. Speakers will also be placed strategically so that everyone can enjoy the Opening Ceremony.
