Seth Rider's Family

Seth Rider is one of the newcomer competitors in Team USA at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. A resident of Germantown, Tennessee, United States, he was homeschooled, and it helped him to become a triathlete. He later attended Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States.

Seth Rider made his professional debut by participating in the Olympic Distance - Men event at the Under-23 World Championships in Gold Coast in 2018. He followed that up by participating in the Team Relay - Mixed and Olympic Distance - Men events at the Under-23 World Championships in Lausanne in 2019. He has also been a three-time participant in the World Championships in 2021, 2022, and 2023 and earned his first medal - a bronze - in the Team Relay - Mixed event in 2022. More recently, Rider has also competed in the Team Relay - Mixed and Olympic Distance - Men events at the Pan American Games in Santiago in 2023.

“He was surrounded by friends of Walt’s and teams that Walt was on, swim team, cross country, put that all together and it was the perfect mix for him.”
