Taryn Kloth is a professional beach volleyball player and a member of the USA Beach National Team. She was born on April 10, 1997 (27 years old) in her hometown of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, United States. In the sports arena, she was drawn to basketball, which she grew to love courtesy of her dad, Mike, who is a basketball enthusiast. She switched to volleyball and started as an indoor volleyball player at Creighton. She was an All-American Honorable Mention in her final year. Despite being an elite indoor basketball player, she came to Louisiana State University to transition to a beach volleyball career. She formed a pairing with Kristen Nuss, her roommate, at the end of the 2020 season.
During her collegiate years, Taryn Kloth made it to the USA Collegiate National Team for both indoor and beach events 4 times in 6 years. She decided to play beach volleyball professionally in 2021, winning her pro debut tournament at the AVP tour in Atlanta.
Kloth’s performance in the 2023 season is considered to be her best yet, as she won the AVP Best Blocker, MVP, and Offensive Player awards. Taryn Kloth has played in the AVP Pro Beach Tour 15 times and has won it six times. She has played the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour 25 times and won the title six times.
She is currently ranked alongside Kristen Nuss as the 2nd in the World Women's Beach Volleyball Team Duo participating in the Paris Summer Olympics.
