Taylor Constantine Averill is a middle-blocker volleyball player who plays for Team USA. Born on March 5, 1992, in San Jose, California, he began his career at Branham High School, playing for the Bay to Bay Volleyball Club.
Growing up, Averill has always been a lover of sports. He has great skills in football, basketball, ping pong, chess, and skating. During his playing period with both the UC Irvine in California and Hawaii University teams, Averill was active on the U.S. Youth National Team, winning the Pan American Games in 2014 and the Pan American Cup in 2015.
He switched from playing center to right-side hitter and now plays in the middle. In 2023, Averill won the FIVB World Cup in Japan and the NORCECA Championship (Charleston). He won the Best Middle Blocker Award in 2021 and won the AS Cannes Dragons French Championship in the 2020–21 season.
Taylor Averill earned the titles of Best Middle Blocker, Best Spiker, and Best Blocker in the French Marmara SpikeLeague 2020/21 season. He had a great time in the Polish PlusLiga 2022–23 season, winning the Best Middle Blocker and Best Spiker awards. He also won the CEV Challenge Cup with Projekt Warsaw in the 2023–24 season before returning to Italy to play with Mint Vero Volley Monza.
