Taylor Averill is a 32-year-old American Volleyball player, who was born on March 5, 1992, in Portland, Oregon. Initially, he played at UH Manoa for four years earned the two-time first-team all-American honors, and graduated with a sociology degree. Averill instilled volleyball skills in him through intense practice and passion for the sport.
He plays for the US Men’s National Team, and his strength and fitness are one of the main reasons behind his selection for the National team. He has accomplished several remarkable feats in his career, such as winning a silver medal in the 2014 Pan American Cup, a gold in the 2017 NORCECA Continental Championship, and a bronze in the 2018 FIVB World Championship.
In addition to this, 2023 was one of the most notable years for the player as he clinched a gold in the 2023 NORCECA Continental Championship and a silver in the 2023 Volleyball Nations League Final. He clinched another gold in the 2023 Olympic qualifier. He will be making his Olympic debut at the 2024 Paris Olympics, after serving as an alternate at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
Averill was also a member of the 2015 Men’s Indoor Team for the Pan Am Games in Toronto, Canada. He has been playing for the US since 2014 and is currently associated with the club Vero Volley Monza. His position in the team is as a middle blocker.
