Taylor Spivey is an American professional triathlete born on 13 April 1991 in Redondo Beach, California. Growing up in such an athletic-oriented family, with a former professional long-course triathlon as her mother and an Ironman competitor father. In her early stages, she was excellent at surf lifesaving, where she won numerous national titles working as an LA County lifeguard before committing to triathlon. During her college years at California Polytechnic State University, she also swam in competitive championships. Spivey's triathlon career took off by competing at professional-level events like the ITU Triathlon World Cup and the Super League Triathlon. One of her best results came in 2019, when she finished fourth overall in the ITU World Triathlon Series, proving her consistency and skill. In 2022, again she proved her classic form by consistently being on the podium finishing the season second in the Super League Triathlon and iconically winning the SLT Malibu. She also participated at the Poissy Triathlon in the French Triathlon Grand Prix. She has been training with the U.S Triathlon Squad under many experienced coaching staff who helped her improve her skills exponentially.
