Torey James "TJ" DeFalco, born on April 10, 1997, in Springfield, Missouri, is an American volleyball player and Olympian. As one of seven siblings in the DeFalco family, TJ grew up in a household where volleyball was a shared passion. All seven DeFalco siblings, each with names beginning with the letter "T," played volleyball at different levels.
TJ's volleyball journey began when his family moved from Missouri to California when he was nine years old. Despite being homeschooled along with his siblings, TJ played volleyball for Huntington Beach High School, where his skills caught national attention. His talent led him to Long Beach State University, where he became a two-time NCAA champion (2018, 2019) and a four-time AVCA First Team All-American (2016-2019).
He joined the U.S. National Team in 2015 at just 18 years old, making him one of the youngest players to represent the country at that level. He has since competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics. TJ has also played professionally in Italy and Poland, winning the CEV Cup with Asseco Resovia in 2024.
