Hailing from Malibu, California, United States, Tom Schaar is making his Olympic debut in 2024. Notable for his impressive skateboarding skills, he got involved in the sport when he was three years old due to his older brother putting him on a skateboard. A former student of San Dieguito High School Academy, he is notable for his “1080” early on in his career.

Tom Schaar, on the professional side, has participated in World Cup Skateboarding in 2014, 2015, 2016, and 2017 mainly in men’s vert and men’s bowl events. He is also a multi-time competitor in the World Championships in 2016, 2017, 2019, and 2023. He has earned two bronze medals from his performance in the World Championships. More recently, he ranked fifth and 14th in the men’s park events at the 2023 World Championships.

However, Tom Schaar at the time only 12 years old, managed to perform the 1080 perfectly on the mega ramp on his fifth try as per olympics.com.
