American shooter and Olympian Vincent Charles Hancock was born in Port Charlotte, Florida, on March 19, 1989. He broke the Olympic record in the men's skeet discipline at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In the London Summer Olympics of 2012 and the Tokyo Summer Olympics of 2020, he accomplished the same accomplishment twice. He is the only Olympian with two skeet shooting titles.

At the age of sixteen, Hancock earned his first World Championship title in the men's skeet division in 2005. Additionally, he was awarded the prestigious Shooter of the Year title by the International Shooting Sports Federation. In the 2009 World Championships in Maribor, he took home the gold medal in skeet.

Hancock then enrolled at Troy University in Troy, Alabama, from which, he earned a business management degree in 2014. He joined the U.S. Army Marksmanship Unit as a sergeant after receiving his degree, and in 2015, became just the third athlete to win three men's skeet world championships. All in all, Vincent Hancock has won four World Championships gold medals, a silver and a bronze.

Hancock qualified for the Olympic team and competed for the United States in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 after winning the gold medal at the World Championships in 2015. However, he only managed a 15th-place finish in the Brazilian capital.

He made it to the 2020 Summer Olympics in the United States, where he defeated Jesper Hansen of Denmark and Abdullah Alrashidi of Kuwait to win his third Olympic gold medal. Hancock, who has won 29 medals from international tournaments, including the Olympics, is among the most accomplished shooters in the sport's history.
