The 2024 Summer Olympics are slated to be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11. Notably, 329 events spanning 32 sports in 16 locations, including Tahiti, will take place between these dates. Remarkably, this will be the third time that Paris will be hosting the Summer Olympics after 1900 and 1924. The event will also mark the sixth instance of the Olympic Games to held on the French soil (including three Winter Olympics).

Aside from the core 28 events that usually happen, there will be four other optional sports offered at the 2024 Olympics: sport climbing, surfing, skateboarding, and the historic introduction of break dancing as a sport—the first dance sport for the Summer Olympics.
