Despite missing out on the gold medal, Katie Ledecky is not disappointed. The American swimming legend is grateful that she made the podium despite the odds. In an interview to USA Today, Ledecky said:

"I looked at my splits, there was nothing horrible about it. I just didn't have it on the last 200, 250, the way I wanted to.
"I felt like my first 150 was pretty good, went out with the field or felt like I was within the striking distance. I just couldn't kick into that next gear that I would have wanted to, to finish it out." [via USAToday]

Katie Ledecky is now focusing on her favorite event, the women's 1500m & 800m freestyle events, which will be on July 30 and August 2 respectively.

With the bronze medal in women's 400 m, Ledecky has 11 Olympic medals overall, including seven gold medals since her debut at London Olympics 2012. She needs one gold and one silver in the remaining three events to overhaul her compatriot Jennifer Thompson as the greatest female swimmer of all time.
