
Victor Montalvo is a professional American B-Boy. Also known as B-boy Victor, he is considered among the greatest competitive breakers in the world. He was born on May 1, 1994, in Orlando, Florida, and was raised in Kissimmee, Florida. Both his parents are of Mexican heritage. His father, Victor Bermudez, is also the source of inspiration and interest in breaking. Victor Bermudez and his twin brother Hector are considered among the pioneers of the breaking culture in Mexico.
Montalvo attended Gateway High School for his schooling but decided to drop out to pursue breaking. Unlike other sports, breaking was not very popular in high school or collegiate sports, and thus Montavlo opted not to finish his studies, a decision his father completely supported. Eventually, he went on to become one of the most well-known players in the sport. In 2024, breaking was introduced as an Olympic sport for the first time, and Montalvo became the first-ever American to qualify for the Paris Summer Olympics.

Victor Montalvo trains at the Red Bull Athlete Performance Center. He trains there for about two to three times every week. Red Bull places a lot of emphasis on breaking, and Montalvo has also won the Red Bull BC One Championship twice, first in 2015 and then again in 2022. During his childhood, he played video games, and gradually found himself determined to break, following in the footsteps of his father and his uncle. He was first introduced to the art form at the age of six. He has been a core member of the Squadron crew, MF Kidz, and the Red Bull BC One All-Stars.
Victor Montalvo Workout Routine
Victor Montalvo’s usual workout routine emphasizes core body strength as he believes that breaking is all about the core, as the athlete is always twisting and turning. About almost two to three times a week, he trains at the Red Bull Center, performing exercises such as kettlebell Romanian deadlifts, full extension mountain climbers, supine dumbbell press, Nordic hamstring curls, online core rotation, weighted pull-ups with isolated holds, and hanging abdominal windshield wipers.
In the gym, he does workouts focusing on breaking movements like push-ups, hanging from a bar, and twisting leg raises. Following the completion of a workout, he takes an ice bath for about five to seven minutes and goes to the sauna to relax muscles and recover quickly.
