Hobbs Kessler is a professional American middle-distance runner. Born on March 15, 2003, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he went to Skyline High School and turned professional in 2021. Hobbs competes under the Adidas and Very Nice Track Club banners. Known for his impressive speed, Kessler has set many notable records and personal bests in various distances. Kessler's personal best indoor record is 800m in 1:43.71, 1000m in 2:16.46, and 1500m in 3:31.53. His outdoor personal best record is 1500m in 3:33.66, a mile with a time of 3:48.66, and 300m in 7:39.00. In addition, Kessler has achieved several medals. With this record, he became one of the top high school milers in America and only the 12th to run a mile in less than 4 minutes.

He earned a spot in the 2024 Olympics, finishing third in the 1500m and second in the 800m at the U.S. Olympic Trials in June 2024. Kessler also held the world record in the mile, setting at the 2023 World Road Running Championships and winning the gold medal. However, the record was broken by Emmanuel Wanyonyi in April 2024.
