Olympian American weightlifter Olivia Reeves hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was born on April 19, 2003. She is pursuing a bachelor of sociology degree at the University of Tennessee. After a youth career that included winning the 2021 junior world title at 71 kg, Reeves had a breakthrough year in 2023 with her bronze medal at the Pan American Championships at 71 kg.
Reeves broke three junior world records at the 2023 IWF Grand Prix II in Doha; she performed a 147 kg clean & jerk, a 115 kg snatch, and a total of 262 kg. Reeves' jerk is still the heaviest by any non-superheavyweight female weightlifter in US history.
