The Summer Olympics are arguably the most glorious sporting event in the world, with multiple athletes from different sports competing for the most prestigious titles. Along with the usual gymnasts, track and field athletes, and swimmers, a few wrestlers have also marked their legacies at the Games — Aleksandr Karelin, Buvaisar Saitiev, Mavlet Batirov, and Artur Aleksanyan.

A few WWE wrestlers have also competed in the Games to vie for the Olympic podium, including Gable Steveson, Riki Choshu, Kurt Angle, Chad Gable, and Mad Dog Vachon.

On that note, let's take a look at the WWE superstars who competed in the Summer Olympics but did not win a medal.

Chad Gable is an American professional wrestler, who competed in the Amateur wrestling at the 2012 London Olympics. The four-time WWE team champion competed at the 2012 London Olympics before signing with the WWE in late 2013.

After defeating Jordan Holm and securing an Olympic spot, he contended in the 84 kg Greco-Roman style. In London, he defeated Keitani Graham in the qualification round to advance. However, he fell short of moving toward the final after getting defeated by Pablo Shorey of Cuba, suffering a 3-0 loss. His experience in amateur wrestling proved substantial for his glory-filled WWE career.

Mark Henry competed in two editions of the Olympics, in 1992 and 1996. He secured the spot to compete at the Summer Games in the Super-Heavyweight class, securing 10th place in his first attempt. At 6-foot-4-inches tall, he became the largest athlete in Olympic history.

He led the weightlifting Olympic team in the 1996 Games, where he surpassed his previous efforts in training. However, Henry suffered a severe back injury during the competition, forcing him to withdraw after his first clean-and-jerk attempt, bringing him down to 14th place.

#3 Maurice Vachon competed at the 1984 Olympic Games before his pro wrestling career began

Maurice Vachon, also known as Mad Dog Vachon, contended in a wrestling event at the 1984 Games before commencing his pro wrestling career. He settled in seventh place in the 174 pounds category, losing to Adil Candemir of Turkey. He was later inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for his exploits in pro wrestling.
