Notable for getting involved in the sport at the age of eight years, he carried his craft to the Penn State Nittany Lions wrestling team, winning the NCAA Championship three consecutive times in 2016, 2017, and 2018. He also became a four-time NCAA All-American during his time at college. He also won the Dan Hodge Trophy twice in 2017 and 2018.
