Too Hot To Handle season 6 premiered exclusively on Netflix on July 19, 2024. Since then, a total of seven episodes have been released giving insights into the dramatic turns and twists the viewers weren't expecting. As fans already know, the show gives participants a chance to work on their personalities and connect with their fellow costars on a deeper emotional level.
The purpose of this show is to encourage contestants to find their love match by eliminating the idea of being physically intimate. The rules in the retreat are made by an AI assistant Lana, who also introduced her clone Bad Lana this season as well. Additionally, Bad Lana's job was to lure the cast members into spending a quarter of a million-dollar prize fund by breaking the rules.
According to Netflix, the Too Hot To Handle season 6 synopsis reads as the following:
"New season, bigger prize fund, shocking twists — and a naughty new sidekick for Lana, who's stirring up trouble among the villa's sexy singles."
This season the introduction of banishment quarters, Bad Lana, and retreat guests were the most shocking plot twists so far. Contestants from the previous season made an appearance and a private suite was also arranged.
5 shocking twists from Too Hot To Handle season 6
1) Banishment from the retreat
The most surprising moment of season 6 was when Lana revealed Bri and Charlie were being evicted in episode 1. This shocked the remaining cast, who were not taking the rules seriously. Bri and Charlie were upset, thinking their journey had ended. However, Lana then revealed they were not eliminated but sent to the banishment quarters to reflect on their mistakes and learn a lesson.
2) Evicted contestants spend money
On Too Hot to Handle season 6 episode 1 evicted castmembers Bri and Charlie were given the option to spend money from the prize fund. Both of them wanted to see what was going on in the retreat and whether their current partners were flirting with the new guests. Bad Lana encouraged them to spend $15000 to satisfy their curiosity and they easily fell into her trap.
3) Former cast members entered the villa
Usually, this reality dating show introduces viewers to new faces every season. However, this time an exception was made by sending Louis and Flavia into the retreat as guests to serve as a "good example." Fans might know both of them from previous Too Hot to Handle seasons.
Flavia was the only one who kept her promise to Lana by not being a threat to the prize fund. Louis on the other hand couldn't follow the basic rules and hence, was sent home.
4) Self-elimination on the show
Another shocking moment this season was when Jordan got emotional and decided to leave the reality TV show on his own. When Jordan went on a one-on-one date with Flavia, he was convinced he had found his love match. Flavia however didn't feel the same and decided to pair up with Joao as she wanted to explore other options. Jordan felt blindsided and thought there was no one else in the villa he felt connected to.
5) A private suite addition
Too Hot to Handle season 6 added another new element to the show by introducing contestants to a private suite. Katherine and Louis were sent so that they could spend the night by not acting on their impulsive instincts and following the rules. When the two love birds went into the suite, Bad Lana tried to convince them to spend money and follow what their heart said. Louis and Katherine had a great time but decided to abide by the rules.
