60 Day Hustle season 1 episode 1: Recap and more details explored

The opening episode of Amazon prime brand new drop, 60 Day Hustle, saw the creator Michelle Delamore introduce herself as the creator and explain the nature of the show. She said together with her team, they were going make selected entrepreneurs achieve two years of business progress in just 60 days.

All 10 episodes of the inspiring show came out on August 8 on Amazon Prime. It saw budding entrepreneurs lining up to reach any extent for the $100,000 prize money, that would take their businesses to a new level.

60 Day Hustle provided them with a team of expert business minds, who would take their businesses to the heights they dreamed of.

Episode 1 of the show gave a primary introduction to businesses of all participants. It also bid adieu to four businesses after a grueling pitch that had to be given within 30 seconds.


What went down on episode 1 of 60 Day Hustle season 1?

The introduction

After the young entrepreneurs introduced themselves to the viewers and to Rudy Mawer, one of the business experts, they were assigned their first task.

Rudy explained that they had to pen down their business plan on paper napkins stacked on the table, within five minutes.

While the contestants were writing down their pitches, Rudy took to a confessional to explain the importance of the task. He said that while many entreprenuers have a business plan, they don't have execution. And with the napkin task, one could test if they truly knew where they were going.

They then had one minute to present their pitch on the stage. Rudy said this was to see if their brand could grab quick attention. After giving tips on how they could improve their short pitch, Rudy announced that they would have another 60 second pitch the day after, in front of some big heads of business. He added with that after the pitch, four people would go home.


Day 2

Rudy then introduced them to Matt Easton, founder of Easton University, where students go to learn the know-how of business. Matt called each one of them on the stage and coached them on how to better their pitch.

The next day on 60 Day Hustle, the day of their pitch, Rudy made a surprise announcement. He said that instead of 60, each contestant was only going to get 30 seconds to pitch their idea. First one to go was Dario, with his children's brand Dinostores.

Then came sisters To Tam and To Nya with their candle tech app brand Moon + Heart. The partners Niki and Tiffany, came with their brand called Went There Loved That. The objective of the brand was to serve the online travel space.

Next up on 60 Day Hustle was Chiara with her Chickpea breakfast brand Chichi. Fancy pitched her perfume brand called Simply Fancy. The 19-year-old Mehmet brought his cake brand Mosaic Cakes. Sededra sold her hair extensions brand Adda Bang Extentions.

Erik came with his brand called Saturday Sweets. Viju Beauty came with plastic free applicators for beauty products. Marcus came with a shoe brand Marcus Alexander. Kalyne brought a luxury sustainable wellness brand called Mas Vida. Joshua's was a unique brand called J.Butler Golf, which sold golf apparel.

After an evaluation, the judges sent home Viju Beauty, Mosaic Cakes, Simple Fancy, and Saturday Sweets. Rudy then took the contestants to Dr.Bill Dorfman's house, the inventor of Zoom Teeth Whitening, to have a gourmet meal, to help them relax.
