What to expect from 90 Day Fiancé Season 11: Trailer highlights

1) New couples and complicated relationships

The season 11 trailer introduces seven couples, each facing unique challenges. Among them are Mark and Mina, who have a two-year-old daughter together. Mina, originally from France, has left behind her son from a previous relationship and now finds herself questioning her future in the U.S., saying,

"Part of me wonders if she had the baby to try to lock down my dad," Mark’s daughter comments in the trailer.

Mina herself wonders if staying in America is the right decision, especially as she faces isolation without her son and a lack of strong bonds with Mark’s family.

Another couple, Stevi and Mahdi, also face difficulties. Mahdi, who comes from Iran, has grown increasingly uncomfortable in the U.S. due to the political climate and cultural divides. In the trailer, Stevi’s father asks,

"Is he gonna make you wear a jihad?" highlighting the cultural tensions between the couple.

As Mahdi experiences homesickness, the couple struggles to bridge these divides.

"If I find out that Stevi is bisexual, I really don’t think that we can get married," Mahdi states in a tense moment later in the trailer.

2) Returning couples confront new hurdles

Some familiar faces return this season, with Alliya and Shawn among them. The former, who traveled from Rio de Janeiro to Los Angeles to be with Shawn, is adjusting to a new life. Alliya shares in the trailer that they face significant hurdles, especially with their 30-year age gap.

"It’s a new life. It’s like I’m just born today!" she says.

Shawn, who has kept their relationship a secret from his family, also faces an internal struggle as Alliya continues to transition and explore surgical options. He questions:

"Can I say ‘I do’ to someone whose identity is changing before my eyes?"

Similarly, Sarper and Shekinah’s relationship, which has previously been documented on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, continues to experience turbulence. Sarper, originally from Turkey, struggles to leave his playboy past behind as Shekinah demands a stable future together in America.

Sarper tells Shekinah she's a "dictator" during an argument, to which she responds,

“If it’s too hard, then leave.”

Their relationship faces further strain as Sarper attempts to prove he can adapt to his new life in the U.S. and gain approval from Shekinah’s family.

3) The throuple dynamic takes center stage

This season marks the debut of the first-ever throuple in 90 Day Fiancé history, with Matt, Amani, and Any exploring a polyamorous relationship. The couple is already raising two children together in San Diego, but Amani, who is bisexual, wants to bring a third person into their relationship.

“I love being married to Matt, I love being a mom, but we have a third in our relationship,” Amani states in the trailer, before the throuple is shown in bed together.

The trio’s dynamic takes a more serious turn as they seek to make their relationship permanent. However, this requires a significant step: Matt and Amani must divorce to allow one of them to marry Any and proceed with her K1 visa. This unconventional arrangement creates complications and raises questions about their future together.

The trailer also showcases the couple's plans to visit Any’s family in Mexico to strengthen their bond. As the first-ever throuple to be featured on the show, Matt, Amani, and Any's journey introduces a new dynamic to the show’s narrative, highlighting the challenges that come with non-traditional relationships.

Don’t miss the drama! 90 Day Fiancé premieres on TLC on Sunday, February 16, at 8 PM ET. Tune in to see how these couples navigate their 90-day journeys.
