90 Day Fiancé is a reality TV show that brings together couples from different parts of the world, focusing on their journey as they experience the difficulties of cross-cultural relationships. These couples are given a K-1 visa, which allows partners from foreign countries to come to the U.S. to marry a citizen within 90 days.

Angela, a 58-year-old from Georgia, USA, and Michael, a 36-year-old from Nigeria, have caught the audience's attention with their relationship. Their 22-year age gap and the challenge of maintaining a long-distance relationship between continents are some of the issues they faced, according to Michael.

The two got married in Nigeria after being together for six years. They planned to move to the United States together during the show 90 Day Fiancé. However, they are no longer together.

Michael opens up on physical violence with Angela in 90 Day Fiancé

In an exclusive interview with ET's Melicia Johnson, Michael talked about his highly publicized breakup with Angela Deem in 90 Day Fiancé after six years of togetherness. He explained in the interview:

"Angela, she's my first American woman. I've never dated anyone before, and she's just pretty, you know, I like the chubby. You know, my kind of woman."

Michael said his intentions were genuine and not to get a green card, as some assumed. He even suggested that Angela live with him in Nigeria, saying:

"If I actually scammed her for a green card, I would have left a long time ago."

Michael also opened up about his struggles with Angela's anger issues, which sometimes escalated into physical violence. Michael admitted:

"I thought when I got here things will be better for us. But I was wrong, you know? Things got worse when I got here."

He described feeling like "an unwanted guest" in Angela's home.

He shared an incident where Angela reported him missing in Georgia, highlighting the instability in their relationship. He recalled suffering for a couple of days and the toll it took on his mental and emotional health.

The final straw and Michael's future after 90 Day Fiancé

Michael said that the breaking point in their relationship was when Angela's abuse got so bad that he could no longer take it. Michael talked about how leaving the relationship was a big decision for him, and how it was no longer bearable for him to stay.

While he was in America, he strongly denied any claims of cheating on Angela, making it clear that he didn't have the chance or freedom to do so.

The relationship was not particularly close, as Angela and he coexisted as strangers in their own home. Michael slept on the couch while Angela slept in a different room.

Despite the breakup in 90 Day Fiancé, Michael still respects Angela, though he admits that her actions often left him feeling afraid. He describes himself as an easygoing person, and he believes Angela took advantage of that.

Looking to the future, Michael is positive about continuing his television career and is open to any new opportunities.
