The popular reality TV show 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way is a spin-off of the original 90 Day Fiancé show, which airs on TLC. This show differs from others because it's about Americans who move abroad to be with their foreign partners instead of bringing their fiancés to the U.S., which is the original show's theme.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 6 episode 10 continued to showcase how challenging it is for couples to get along when they come from different cultures and have personal issues. Many cast members have now moved to live with their partners, which has brought up new problems.
One of the episode's highlights is Shekinah and Sarper getting into a fight that makes Shekinah cry, and she leaves Sarper's apartment, making people wonder about their future together. At the same time, other couples, such as James and Meitalia and Statler and Dempsey, have money problems and family pressures.
90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way - James and Meitalia face parental pressure of having kids
Meitalia and James are still on their journey as they clean up the room that will be their shared bedroom in her family's house. Initially, the state of the room shocks James, but he swiftly shifts his perspective and begins his work, demonstrating his determination to adapt to life in Meitalia's homeland.
James's desire to become part of Meitalia's family and culture is evident in his willingness to learn the language, even if it's only a few words. However, things get tense when Meitalia's parents talk about kids, which frequently occurs in their relationship.
James talks about how uncomfortable he is with the constant pressure. He admits that Meitalia's parents have been pushing the couple to have a child for a long time. In a confessional, James shared:
"I know this is a conversation they're going to keep throwing at me time after time after time. It's been something they've said since me and Tata have been together, so I know my doubts about having children is not going to go over well."
Financial friction between Statler and Dempsey in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way
At the start of the episode in 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, Statler and Dempsey are having a good time together after being apart. A trip to a used goods store changes the mood from happy to serious as worries about money surface.
Statler is upset that she has to pay most of the bills in their relationship. She points out that she borrowed money for their van, but the loan is in Dempsey's name.
"I have no worries about earning money." Dempsey shared.
Statler replied:
"Well, I do."
When Statler discovers that Dempsey has extra cash from selling her car, which Dempsey had not disclosed to Statler, an argument breaks out.
Seething from Sarper and lingering doubts
After their argument, Shekinah and Sarper are at a crossroads. Still upset about the fight, she goes to a hotel with her dog, not knowing what will happen to their relationship. Sarper's grabbing of Shekinah's phone during the argument was particularly upsetting for her, as she had previously experienced an abusive relationship.
Even though Sarper sent her regretful texts, Shekinah is still unsure if she wants to make peace. Sarper, on the other hand, says he feels terrible about what he did. He says that his actions were caused by worry that he didn't have a birthday present for Shekinah, but that doesn't make things better between them.
At the end of episode 10 of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, their future is uncertain because Shekinah needs time and space to think about whether they can move forward in their relationship.
New episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way air every Monday at 8/7c on TLC.
