“A clothing store?” — Love After Lockup fans react to Shonta’s ultrasound destination

Episode 38 of Love After Lockup season 5 after was released on September 13, 2024, on WeTV. It saw one of the couples, Shonta and True, drive to get an ultrasound of the former's new pregnancy.

Only Shonta didn't want True to accompany her inside the ultrasound office in a strip mall. Many Love After Lockup fans called out Shonta for not taking her partner inside, some even suspected her of lying about pregnancy to keep True in the relationship.

Fans also reacted to the ultrasound destination as it was located in a strip mall. Some said it looked like a store, while others questioned why she wouldn't get an ultrasound at a hospital instead. It also added more fuel to the rumors of her fake pregnancy.

Some Love After Lockup fans suspected why she chose this "shady" place. Other concerned viewers said that she should see a doctor especially because twins were considered a high-risk pregnancy.

"I just don’t believe that Shonta is pregnant. Everything is so suspect. Your obstetrician’s office has ultrasound set up in their office. With twins she should be seeing a high risk pregnancy doctor who will also do a sono. Soon her miscarriage will happen," an X user commented.

"Why didn’t Shonta go to her doctor to have an ultrasound instead of this shady looking place… very weird," a fan wrote.

What happened at Shonta's ultrasound appointment in episode 38 of Love After Lockup season 5?

Before heading for her sonography in episode 38 of Love After Lockup season 5, Shonta made it clear that she didn't want True to accompany her inside the ultrasound office.

When True demanded to know the reason, Shonta brought up what True had said in the previous episode about him seeing other women when they had broken up. She explained that she would take more time to trust him after what he said and told him he might join her for the next appointment.

True then drove Shonta to the ultrasound office, which was located in a strip mall and was named 'Belly Image'. Before Shonta went in, True asked her one last time if she was sure about him not coming inside and she said yes. Shonta entered this glass shop full of baby merchandise, which doubled as an ultrasound center and True waited for her in the parking lot.

While she was inside, True talked to the Love After Lockup cameras and shared that his time to accompany Shonta to the ultrasound next time, might not come. This was because he thought he could be on house arrest or might even be in prison the next time around.
