“A little unsettling to me”— Selling Sunset star Alanna chimes in on the season 8 drama

Selling Sunset season 8 episode 5 brought together The Oppenheim Group real estate agents for a girl's trip. Mary Fitzgerald, Amanza Smith, and Nicole Young joined Alanna Gold on the trip she had planned meanwhile, Chrishell Stause, Emma Hernan, and Chelsea Lazkani stayed back.

While having dinner together, Nicole brought up Emma's love life and hinted at a cheating situation in her relationship. Mary and Amanza told Nicole to not mention someone else's business. Alanna wasn't aware of what Nicole said until she mentioned cheating.

In a confessional interview on Selling Sunset season 8 episode 6, Alanna opened up about the drama linked to Emma. Now that she got to know it had nothing to do with The Oppenheim Group and involved "families and a marriage," she felt it was a "little unsettling." Alanna told the cameras:

"Hearing that the drama may involve families and a marriage is a little unsettling to me. I have now been married for two years, and that bond is very sacred. If my husband cheated, that would be very hurtful honestly."

On Selling Sunset season 8 episode 6, Alanna and Nicole discussed the previous dinner table conversation. Nicole shared she didn't want to talk to Emma directly about the matter as her past experiences initiating a serious discussion with The Oppenheim Group girls haven't ended well.

Nicole further shared that it's "nothing new" as she has been hearing about it for a while now. She also stated that it was a "touchy" subject and no one wanted to intervene in somebody else's personal matter. Alanna advised her fellow co-star to talk to Emma directly rather than other people finding out which might be "a lot worse." She continued:

"Well, if it was me, personally I would go and talk to Emma directly. I know, obviously this seems like a really tough subject to talk about, but I know if anyone else finds out and it starts going through the grapevine, it's a lot worse than you going directly to the source and to the person and having a one on one conversation with them."

Nicole responded to her Selling Sunset co-star, mentioning that she was conflicted about whether to talk to Emma about this. Nicole also said she didn't want to damage the bonds she had built with other real estate agents in The Oppenheim Group because of a "rumor." She implied that talking to Emma directly might result in an argument or a potential verbal fight. Alanna then recommended Nicole to not mention it to anyone else, she said:

"Know, in the future that any point of mentioning it to anyone is obviously gonna be an issue or is gonna spark questions in people's heads, and you don't wanna start planting any little seeds around it."
