A look at Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods’ friendship timeline as reality TV star shares where the two currently stand with each other

Kylie Cosmetics founder Kylie Jenner opened up about her friendship with model Jordyn Woods. On the Thursday, May 30 episode of The Kardashians, Kylie told her sister Khloé Kardashian that she had met up with Jordyn during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. The reality TV star mentioned that the encounter was "fun" and noted that they now have a much healthier relationship.

Kylie and Jordyn met each other for the first time in 2012 and immediately hit it off. Over the years, Woods and Jenner appeared together at a variety of events and even got matching tattoos. However, ever since Jordyn admitted to kissing Khloé Kardashian's then-boyfriend and NBA star Tristan Thompson, the duo had a falling out before eventually reuniting again in 2023.

"I think we have a lot more healthy distance in the relationship" — Kylie Jenner on Jordyn Woods

During Thursday's episode of The Kardashians, Kylie Jenner told her sister Khloé Kardashian that she met Jordyn Woods at Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week. She mentioned:

"I think we have a lot more healthy distance in the relationship. I think we talk once a month."

At the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week on Wednesday, Kylie Jenner, seated beside Gossip Girl star Kelly Rutherford, was filmed excitedly smiling and waving to Jordyn Woods as she passed by.

Woods and Jenner first met in 2012 through their mutual friend, The Karate Kid star Jaden Smith. In a 2018 Q&A YouTube video, Kylie Jenner reminisced about their first meeting with Jordyn Woods:

"You put your name in my phone with a purple heart, and I still have the purple heart in my phone."

After their initial meetup, the duo quickly formed an inseparable bond. Jordyn Woods started appearing on Kylie Jenner's social media and family events at an increasing frequency, she was even a guest at Kylie's sister Kim Kardashian and rapper Kanye West's 2014 wedding. Woods was right beside her best friend when she launched her big lip kit in 2015.

The duo appeared together at the 2016 New York Fashion Week, and in the same year, Jenner and her then-boyfriend Tyga attended the launch of Woods' first-ever fashion line, the Boohoo collection. This was also the year the pair got tiny red matching tattoos on their pinkies.

After making an appearance on the first episode of The Kardashians spin-off Life of Kylie in 2017, Woods played a pivotal role in the season finale when she and Jenner took part in a traditional commitment ceremony, an event that Jenner described as a "marriage for friends." Jenner said at the time:

"I want people to know that we’re more than that. She’s my girlfriend. I care for her like I care for my girlfriend."

She further added:

"All I want for Jordyn is to have all the success in the world and I want her to know that I’m always gonna be here to support her on whatever."

Woods and Jenner appeared to be going strong in 2018, following the former's appearance in the latter's pregnancy announcement video and their joint attendance at Paris Fashion Week that year. In a 2018 interview with Vogue, Kylie mentioned that she and Jordyn were now living together.

However, everything fell apart in February 2019 when multiple media outlets reported that Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson broke up after he allegedly cheated on Khloé with Jordyn. This led to Jordyn falling out with the Kardashian clan and moving back in with her mother.

In March 2019, Jordyn Woods appeared on Jada Pinkett Smith's Red Table Talk, where she admitted that Tristan Thompson had kissed her when she was hanging out late at his home. Woods told Jada:

"No passion, no nothing, on the way out. He just kissed me. Like a kiss on the lips, no tongue kiss, no making out, nothing."

In a 2019 promo for Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Kylie Jenner addressed the incident and told her sister that Jordyn had "f**ked up." Kylie even unfollowed Jordyn on Instagram. During a 2020 appearance on the YouTube series Now With Natalie, Jordyn Woods opened up about how the scandal affected her. She stated:

"You take everything you think you know for a whole decade, the people you think you know, the life you think you know, everything that you've grown up doing and you take it all away from someone. I didn't even know how to feel."

Years later, in 2023, Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods were once again spotted at a restaurant together. A source told People magazine that Woods had apologized to Kylie for the scandal and told her that she loved her before they reunited. As mentioned above, the duo was last seen interacting with each other during this year's Paris Fashion Week.
