Kasim Ahmed was banished from the villa in The Traitors UK season 3 episode 4, which premiered on January 9, on BBC One, after his fellow cast mate believed him to be the traitor. However, he was later revealed to be faithful. Kasim found himself under scrutiny, as suspicions arose due to his profession as a doctor and his perceived intelligence among the group.

This led to Jake directing attention toward him during episode 3 Round Table where he claimed that Kasim might be the traitor considering his job as he would be "saving lives during the day then killing Faithfuls at night." To this, Kasim replied noting that he felt like Jake was "basically" calling him Harold Shipman, who was a doctor and a serial killer.

In a January 10 interview with indy100, Kasim reflected on the incident, explaining that he felt exhausted by the constant scrutiny and accusations. He admitted that, in the heat of the moment, a thought he was holding in his mind unintentionally slipped out.

"In my head I thought this is making me sound like Harold Shipman! And it turned out it came out my mouth and I said it" he added.

Kasim noted that when he first said Harold Shipman's comment, he was surprised why his fellow cast mates were so surprised. He later realized that he had said the comment out loud. He further explained that it meant to be a "sarcastic thought", which slipped through his mouth.

"I was just having a sarcastic thought that came out," he said.

The Traitors UK star Kasim Ahmed reflects on his experience on the BBC reality show

The Traitors UK season 3 episode 4 saw three eliminations. While Jack was eliminated from the coin task, Maia was murdered following her older sister's exit from the castle. Meanwhile, Kasim Ahmed was banished by his fellow cast mates believing that he was one of The Traitors, but was later revealed to be faithful.

Further in the interview, Kasim shared that he wasn't happy with the experience as his fellow The Traitors UK cast mates left him feeling isolated. He even had to eat alone during the dinner before episode 4 roundtable.

"It was tough, as I said when I was in there I did feel ostracised, I felt there was no grounding to the reason why. There were points where it felt a bit personal but it comes back to my background where I'm used to working in busy hospitals where everyone has their own agendas and running up and down," he said.

He explained that in stressful situations, like the ones that the show creates, people can often forget what they're doing and it takes a long time to learn how they could function as themself in those situations.

Kasim further added that when all The Traitors UK cast mates got home after filming the show, he was "bombarded with messages from the others saying they were sorry" and that they didn't realize they had made him feel that way.

"It was as I suspected, all lovely people and all excellent - it's just people deal with stress and new environments in different ways. It was obviously going to be stressful at times but overall, it was an amazingly positive experience and what a fun game to play. I was rubbish at it but what a fun game!" he continued.

After noting that he had fun playing the games, The Traitors UK star concluded that even if he was a traitor, he believed that the "game would have played out the same way" as everything was outside of his control.

The Traitors UK season 3 episode premiered every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday on BBC One.
