“Absolute home run”- Love is Blind UK stars Steven and Sabrina bond over similar routines

Netflix released the debut season of Love is Blind UK on August 7, 2024, featuring 30 individuals looking for their potential romantic partner. The popular dating reality show focuses on interested participants who find their potential matches through conversations in the pods, and decide whether to get engaged or not.

The first episode of Love is Blind UK featured potential couple Steven and Sabrina. Sabrina is a 35-year-old director of marketing and communications from Belfast, while Steven, 37, owns a gym and is from Birmingham, London.

After their first interaction on Love is Blind UK episode 1, both Steven and Sabrina sensed a strong connection towards each other. In the confessional, Steven shared:

"My date with Sabrina has been incredible. Strong date. Absolute home run. It’s good."

Before her first interaction with Steven, Sabrina shared in the confessional that she was ready to meet her soulmate. She revealed that she thought it was really great to build a life together and that she is a bit of a “hopeless romantic.” She got emotional while remembering her granny, whom she was very close to.

Starting from the first “Hello” from each other, Sabrina’s reaction was “Oh, my goodness.” On the other hand, Steven thought Sabrina was a great name, and revealed that he was from Birmingham.

Steven shared that he lived in London for 14 years. Sabrina revealed that she was from Belfast, and was ready to relocate to her “future husband’s” city. Love is Blind UK star also shared that there were a lot more opportunities in London than there were in Belfast.

They talked about their work. She shared that she worked in marketing, while Steven said that he owned a CrossFit gym.

"You’re a CrossFitter." Sabrina laughed

He said not to start judging him, while Sabrina joked that he was part of the "cult." So he played along and said, he had to share his truth, and they both laughed.

Steven said in the confessional that he has three brothers, and he went to an all-boys school. He also mentioned that his parents split up when he was 16 and that it was the worst day of his life. Steven shared more in confessional:

"As a result of that, I really know what I want. I’m here to find my partner in crime, and I just wanna be in love for the rest of my life with that one person."

Steven asked Sabrina, “So what makes you, you?” Sabrina shared that she was very adventurous and spontaneous, which he said was his favorite word. She continued the answer and added that she was very considerate. Steven ended up laughing and asked her if she got his script over there because she was the kind of person that he was looking for.

Sabrina then asked him if he meditates, which he acknowledged and said yes. He then shared that he divides his meditation into three parts: pure breathing, finding the rhythm, and checking with the body. He then added that he also has a “cold shower” and said that he does gratitude journals. While Sabrina replied:

"This is so weird. I feel like you’ve just taken my daily routine, except my shower is definitely at about 40 degrees."

Steven said it was okay to be different, and they both laughed. Love is Blind UK star told Sabrina that he had never met someone who had a similar mindset about those sorts of things.

Sabrina then shared her heart and told Steven how she went on a year-long journey of “kind of just working” on herself. Since that time, she has been doing a lot of gratitude journaling. She also added that she practices gratitude as much as she can, which Steven loved. Sabrina continued:

"I think it’s important to get to the point where you’re happy in yourself. Not anyone else’s job to make you happy. I’m all about adding value to each other’s lives."

Steven replied that her language was so similar to his, and added that he was smiling. After his date with Sabrina, Steve confessed that it had been incredible. He described it as a “strong date” and felt that it was an “absolute home run.”

Sabrina shared with a fellow female participant during the first episode of Love is Blind UK that she and Steven had the same daily routine and that it was weird.
