Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves recently shared her thoughts on the strengths and weaknesses of the remaining houseguests in season 26. During an interview with Entertainment Weekly on October 11, 2024, Julie praised all of the contestants wholeheartedly and pointed out their flaws as well.
On the CBS show, only three houseguests remained in the competition by the end of October 11 episode. Makensy Manbeck won the Power of Veto task for the ninth time and voted out Rubina Bernabe. The players who continued in the competition along with Makensy were Chelsie Baham and Cam Sullivan-Brown.
Host Julie called Makensy "strong" and someone who got "along with everyone." However, she also highlighted what she considered as the PoV winner's flaws.
"Her weakness might be allowing Chelsie to get in her ear and head and doing what Chelsie wants instead of what she wants. But at this point it may not matter anymore… unless Chelsie is sitting next to her in final 2 and argues that point successfully," Julie stated.
For the unversed, Big Brother was introduced to the American audience in 2000 and ever since the reality show has managed to grab the attention of reality TV fans. The winner of the current season will be awarded $750,000 cash prize.
Julie believes Chelsie's biggest strength is her ability to control other people on Big Brother 26
Just as she was candid about Makensy's description, the host of Big Brother didn't hold back when it came to another influential houseguest, Chelsie. Julie acknowledged that although Chelsie did not possess a resume like Makensy's when it came to competition wins, she still did not stop short of praising the finalist.
Julie expressed that Chelsie herself wasn't too bad in competition wins as she recalled her 4 HoH wins. She further revealed that since Chelsie had some friends waiting for her at the jury table, it would strengthen her case of winning the competition. Julie also spoke about Chelsie's ability to pull the strings from afar.
"Her ability to control other people’s HOHs to fit her agenda, her ability to get along with others, and the fact that she has some friends on the jury, and those who may not be considered a close friend but love and respect this game and should give credit when and where it’s due," Julie explained.
While discussing about Cam being the only male finalist of the season, Julie described his strengths as being honest and liked by all. She added that he could make an argument about getting to the end without ever winning a competition or "never getting blood on his hands". She mentioned that Cam's weakness would be him never winning a competition despite being a D1 football player.
Julie was also asked about her opinion on who she thought was America's favorite houseguest on Big Brother. This prompted her to say a lot of names that were eliminated early on in the competition. After pondering between Leah and Tucker, she thought Tucker might have been gone for too long by this point and America might have forgotten about his time.
Moreover, the BB host appreciated Quinn for being funny and wondered if all the moms of America could get together, Angela might win that vote. Julie ended the topic by claiming she didn't know anymore as it was tough to end up on one name among all the memorable houseguests of Big Brother 26.
The next episode of Big Brother season 26 is set to air on Sunday, October 13 from 9-11 pm ET.
