Love After Lockup season 5 highlighted the lives of cast members dating recently released prisoners. One of the couples this season, Tia and Rob, were expected to reunite soon after Rob was out from prison. In Love After Lockup season 5 episode 52, Rob tried to clarify that he wasn't lying to his partner. Tia, on the other hand, was questioning whether he was making up stories and telling her something other than the truth. During their call, Tia asked Rob why he would keep changing his answers whenever she brought up the topic of how long he had to live with his friend.
In a flashback scene, Rob was seen informing Tia's sister that staying with his friend was a temporary setup for a month. Later, he claimed that it would take him six to eight months there, which increased Tia's suspicions about his intentions. She questioned why Rob didn't tell her from the beginning that it could perhaps take him more than three months to find a place of his own.
The Love After Lockup cast member, Rob, elaborated:
"As far as my living situation, babe, I know we have to got to really come to a clear understanding. So, as far as where I'm about to live when I go to Brooklyn. Probably six to eight months give or take, you know so, but I'm not 100 percent sure yet. Yeah, I mean three months is I feel like enough time."
Tia further argued that she didn't know much about the information or the woman who had access to the house he was about to live in. Rob shared that it was his friend's girlfriend's house, but she was not currently residing there. However, Rob's friend was seeing another woman who had access to the house. Tia said:
"You just keep coming up with mad different stories. Like what it is? Is it one month, two month, three month?"
The Love After Lockup couple got into an argument as Tia told the camera she would end the relationship if she found out Rob was lying. Rob tried to calm her down, saying:
"See what I'm saying? So you got to watch your attitude because it's pissing me off."
