America's Got Talent season 19 has made it to the coveted Live Shows section of the series. It brings all the acts that got a "yes" from the judges and the nine Golden Buzzers. The Quarterfinal one was released in two parts, airing on August 13 and 14, respectively. Part one, i.e., episode 9, saw 11 contestants performing, while episode 10 announced who among them went forward.
The four esteemed judges, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel, selected four of the eleven acts to take to the finale. Before going to Quarterfinals second part, fans of America's Got Talent might want to brush up on who all were in the first part and who proceeded to the finals already.
List of contestants from Quarterfinals 1 of America's Got Talent season 19
1) Flewnt and Inkabee
The first one to perform on episode 9 of America's Got Talent was the rapper duo Flewnt and Inkabee. It included a 12-year-old boy and his father. The two chose an original song to perform to but didn't make it past the quarterfinals.
2) Attraction Juniors
This was a group of Shadow Act Theatre from Hungary. They performed A Sky Full of Stars by Coldplay and Somebody's Watching Me by Rockwell for their quarterfinal performance on America's Got Talent. Despite their jaw-dropping performance, they didn't make it to the finals.
3) Liv Warfield
One of the two Golden Buzzer performances in this episode, Liv Warfield lived up to her accomplishment. She chose to sing a song that Prince himself wrote for her, titled The Unexpected. Despite what everyone thought, Liv didn't make it to the finale.
4) Hyper Kids Africa
This dance group came from Uganda in Africa. They took the stage with their performance of Gonna Make You Sweat by C+C Music Factory. Even though the group made it to the Top 5, they got eliminated before making it to the finals.
5) Ashes and Arrows
This group of country singers from Ashville, NC, gave an amazing performance on an original song Wild Horses. Since America has a huge recognition for country music and an eye for talent in the field, Ashes and Arrows advanced to the next round.
6) Los Osos High School
Howie wasn't too keen on this dance group after they performed because he thought they performed like they were on a halftime show. They didn't make it to the finals despite their power-packed performance on Pump It, Whoomp There It Is, and Fergalicious.
7) Hakuna Matata Acrobatics
This dance group came from Dar Es Salam, Tanzania. Their awe-inspiring performance got the only Golden Buzzer of quarterfinals 1 from Sofia Vergara and advanced to the finale.
8) Philip Lewis
A baton twirler from Statesboro, Georgia, stole the show with his performance on Like That by Fleur East. He juggled three fire-lit batons at the same time, making for an unforgettable performance. Yet, he fell short of what was needed to make it to the finals of America's Got Talent.
9) Roni Sagi & Rhythm
Much like Adrian Stoica and Hurricane the Dog who gave performances to remember in the past season, Roni Sagi and Rhythm did something similar in season 19 of America's Got Talent. They chose Don't Stop Me Now and Bohemian Rhapsody from Queen and advanced to the finals.
10) Arshiya
Arshiya, the contortionist from India, creeped out the judges and the audience with her perfect performance on Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The young performer, however, didn't make it to the final round of the show.
11) Richard Goodall
The second Golden Buzzer performance of the episode was Richard Goodall. The janitor from Indiana sang How Am I Supposed to Live Without You by Michael Bolton and made it to the finale.
Quarterfinals 2, i.e. episodes 11 and 12 of America's Got Talent, will be released on August 20 and 21, on NBC, at 8 pm ET.
