America's Got Talent season 19 is about to wrap up now that the quarter-final week has ended and the twelve acts have headed towards the next round.
The semi-finals will air on Wednesday, September 11, and Thursday, September 12 at 8/7c on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
These episodes will air on Wednesday and Thursday as opposed to the regular schedule of every Tuesday, due to the US Presidential debate set to take place on Tuesday, September 10.
The episode 17 synopsis reads as the following:
"Twelve acts take the stage live at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium for a chance to compete in the finale; America can vote for their six favourite acts to advance to the finale by using the AGT app or going to NBC.com."

The episode 18 synopsis reads as the following:
"America's votes reveal which six acts from the previous night's show are moving on to the finale; also advancing are the four acts that received the live show golden buzzers during the quarterfinals."
Acts that have made it to the semi-final round include singer Richard Goodall, band Ashes & Arrows, dog act Roni Sagi & Rhythm, singer Alex Sampson, magician Young-Min, drone precision GroupSky Elements, singer from Montgomery Reid Wilson, aerialist from Dallas Kelsey Jane, and stand-up comedian Learnmore Jonasi. Alongside them, singers Pranysqa Mishra, quick change artist Solange Kardinaly, and dance group Brent Street will also be competing in the semi-final episode.

The semifinals will begin on September 11 at 8/7c and the semi-final results will air on September 12, 2024, at 8/7c. For fans living outside of the US, here are the timings when the semi-final episodes 17 and 18 will air:
Golden buzzers in America's Got Talent season 19
A major twist this season was the live show Golden Buzzers given to each judge during the quarterfinal rounds. Through this option, judges choose their favorite act and send them directly to the finals by saving them from potential elimination. This season is the first time in the history of America's Got Talent that the Golden Buzzer was used during the live shows.
The four Golden Buzzer finalists are the acrobatic group Hakuna Matata Acrobatic, the dance group AIRFOOTWORKS, singer Dee Dee Simon, and aerial duo Sebastian & Sonia.
These four contestants chosen via the live show Golden Buzzers and six contestants picked via fan votes during the semifinals will determine who will be in the top 10 during the two-week finale event. The top 10 acts will compete in finale week where they will perform live for a $1 million grand prize.
The finale week is scheduled for September 17 and September 24. Fans can vote through the official AGT app or the NBC website.
