America's Got Talent (AGT) season 19 is currently being aired on NBC, and the competition is only growing more intense with the diverse and talented acts. The show continues to captivate audiences with its extraordinary performances and emotional moments. Among the standout acts this season is Sky Elements, a Dallas-based drone company showcasing its innovative light shows.

Sky Elements initially wowed the judges with a spectacular display involving 1,000 drones. This has significantly impacted the competition, especially following their groundbreaking audition and recent performance in the Quarterfinals.

While Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara, are the judges of the show, Terry Crews has returned to the stage as the host once again.

America's Got Talent Audition Performance

Sky Elements secured a remarkable spot in the competition because of their outstanding performance at their America's Got Talent audition. The drone business used 1,000 drones to put on a light show for their audition. The display wasn't just technologically sophisticated, at a 400-foot-tall by 300-foot-wide display, it was also architecturally stunning.

The judges and the audience had to step outdoors to fully appreciate the exhibition because of the enormity and complexity of the performance. Simon Cowell was so impressed by the display that he broke the rules by awarding a second Golden Buzzer within the same episode, elevating their status in the competition.

America's Got Talent Quarterfinals performance

Sky Elements returned to the Quarterfinals with a brand-new display that led to them advancing to the show's semifinal round. This performance's carnival theme made for an interesting and novel visual experience. According to Sky Elements chief pilot Preston Ward, the new program aimed to make it inclusive.

The team put in a lot of effort in the planning and preparation of their Quarterfinals show. They began with generating ideas, followed by storyboarding, mockups, and design editing. The animation took 150 hours, highlighting the meticulous work for technical and aesthetic precision. Another eight hours were spent on final preparations and testing on show day.

Future Plans

During a Zoom interview with Parade, Preston Ward, the chief pilot of Sky Elements, shared the company's plans in case they win America's Got Talent. Ward stated that the potential prize would fund a national tour to bring their drone shows to smaller communities that might not otherwise have the chance to see such performances.

"We want to take it to smaller places that don’t often get a drone show, really focus on communities that really need something to look forward to," he said.

Ward also shared the business's dedication to helping charitable causes. They plan to use some of the award money for charity causes, such as a Christmas toy drive in his hometown. In memory of Ward's late daughter, Briley, any winnings left over would be given to a charitable organization.

Moving on to the Semifinals

Sky Elements has continued its remarkable run in the competition by making it to the America's Got Talent Semifinals. Some other performers have also reached this significant point, demonstrating the skill and diversity of this season.

Among the outstanding performers is Alex Sampson, who has drawn attention from the crowd with his commanding vocals and captivating performances. Youngmin, the illusionist, has brought a sense of mystery and wonder to the competition with his magic skills and illusions.

Airfootworks' dynamic and rhythmic footwork routines have brought a unique and energetic flair to the show. As the Semifinals approach, these acts and Sky Elements are set to deliver memorable performances that could shape the outcome of this season's competition.

As Sky Elements continues its journey on America's Got Talent, its performances promise to deliver even more awe-inspiring displays of drone artistry. Fans can watch America's Got Talent every Tuesday at 8 pm ET/PT on NBC to keep up with their progress and see how their innovative shows unfold. The results are revealed on Wednesday nights.
