"Apologize to the kids"- Sister Wives fans criticize Kody for neglecting his kids to be with Robyn

Season 19 of Sister Wives premiered on September 15 on TLC. The much-awaited season is to explore Kody and Meri's separation which she announced on her Instagram in January 2023. The season is also to explore the aftermath of it.

Kody has one child with Meri, six with Christine, six with Janelle, and two with Robyn. In all, Kody Brown is the biological father of fifteen children but also looks after three kids Robyn whom she had from her previous marriage.

After Kody moved in with Robyn, he paid very little attention to his other wives and the children he had with them. So when in episode 1 of season 19 of Sister Wives, Kody talked about missing his other children and said that he expected them to visit him, fans of the show flocked to X to comment on the same. They criticized Kody for neglecting them before only to miss them now.

"Well dude, you have to apologize to the kids you've hurt. That would be the first step. He's missed his chance with one, that should feel like the real knife in the kidney. But his latest comments in People Mag do not reflect that. It's horrifying," said one comment.

"Kody saying he has fomo about not seeing the family!! Are you kidding me? What about when he isolated himself with Robyn and the kids during Covid this man is such a hypocrite. It’s unbelievable," said another fan.

"Kody didn’t have a choice to get out so he just stayed with Robin 24/7 and refused to be with his other kids. On the other women’s dime," a third one wrote.

"FOMO for your family but you only spend time with Robyn's kids?!?!!!!!" commented one fan.

Fans of Sister Wives asked Kody to repel his FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) by initiating contact with his other kids and spending time with them. Some criticized him for not doing exactly that.

"Hey Kody, you know how you can combat that FOMO with your kids? Pretend for a second like you give half a shit about them. Take a fraction of the energy you have for Robyn’s kids and give it to the rest of your kids. Be their dad, maybe?" an X user commented.

"Kody you had no FOMO during Covid when you forgot about all of your wives and kids other than Robyn and her children," another X user commented.

"If you were talking to your kids you would know what’s being said. Pathetic," one fan said.

"Kody treats Robyn’s 3 children better than he treats his biological children," said another.

What else happened on episode 1 of Sister Wives season 19?

Kody and his newest wife Robyn, went to see the land they were to build houses on for each of his wife and kids, on Sister Wives episode 1. Standing there, Kody contemplated on how life could've been if all of his wives were still with him, Robyn echoed his sentiments. But while she talked about reconciliation and dreams of having a house on that piece of land alongside all the other houses, Kody said he couldn't picture it anymore.

Robyn and Kody then also went to Mykelti's birthday, who is his daughter with Christine. Here, both families hoped to amicably celebrate the day and come together after they grew distant in the last season of Sister Wives.

Meri talked to Brandi, a friend, that she and Kody had officially separated. Brandi was glad that the long-reigning decision was finally made. Meri, in a Sister Wives confessional, said that everyone who cared for her had supported her decision which had ascertained her faith in the decision even more.
