Karen and Fernando's Love is Blind: Mexico journey explored
Fernando initially connected with Rocio and Irais in the pods, whereas Karen bonded with Saul. However, neither of their connections materialized. Karen rejected Saul because he refused to accept her perspective on intimacy. On the other hand, after interacting with Karen, Fernando realized he shared a stronger connection with her than with the others.
Eventually, the two forged a romantic relationship. They bonded on a deeper level when Karen opened up about her ex-partner who cheated on her with another man. Fernando shared the challenges he faced growing up with an abusive father.
The Love is Blind: Mexico couple soon realized their feelings for each other and got engaged in Episode 2. Fernando vowed to take care of both Karen and her daughter, Emily.
The couple's journey was not always blissful. Karen's smoking habit and her insecurities often created a rift between the two. Karen was shocked when Irais, Fernando's ex-flame, returned with Rene. The Love is Blind: Mexico star was convinced that Irais reappeared with the agenda of reuniting with Fernando. However, Fernando reassured Karen he harbored no romantic feelings for her.
Karen's insecurities peaked again when she heard Fernando's ex called. Fernando confessed he answered only because he thought it might be an emergency. Their conversation quickly turned into a heated argument regarding Karen's smoking habit. Despite facing the turbulence, the couple reconciled and agreed to compromise to accommodate each other's lifestyles.
On their wedding day, the Love is Blind: Mexico cast member won Karen's heart by including Emily in his wedding speech, vowing to protect and love her for life. The couple got married and looked forward to starting a new chapter together.
At the reunion, Karen revealed they bought a new apartment and started a new business together.
"After the wedding, we moved in together. I really love sales and he knows a lot about investment. So, we started a business together, and we've been doing really well. We were able to buy an apartment and all the things we needed for it. We're thrilled," said Karen.
She added that buying simple things such as a washing machine gave them immense joy. When the hosts asked Fernando if he wanted to have children, he confessed he wanted to develop his "fatherly instincts" first. Although he wanted to have children in the future, he stated he was not in a hurry to achieve that goal.
Host Omar Chaparro marked Karen and Fernando as the "living proof" of the experiment's success. Towards the end of the episode, a video montage showcased the couple's life after their wedding. Fernando bonded with Emily and Karen's mother, spent time with them, and focused on reworking their apartment.
