Selling Sunset is set to premiere its eighth season on Netflix on September 6, 2024. Before the premiere, the cast was sent advanced screeners, which led Chrishell Stause to make multiple Instagram stories about Nicole Young on August 31. She claimed in a now-expired story that she was angry with the show's production company, Done and Done Productions.

She claimed that the production company was giving "air time to liars." The reality star added another story in which she mentioned her co-star Nicole Young and added a poll titled "Get Nicole Off My Screen Button." The jabs didn't stop there as Chrishell claimed in the next story that she "will never work on a show with her on it again" and "rather be sued.”

Their Selling Sunset co-star Chelsea Lazkani also posted a story about the matter. She clarified that Chrishell was talking about Emma, whom Nicole bad-mouthed in the scene. She took it one step further and tagged Nicole's account while calling her "the most diabolical piece of..." followed by a dustbin emoji. She finished writing her story with, “OK, let’s see how this works out for you…”

Like Chrishell, Chelsea also slammed Selling Sunset's production company, Done and Done Productions. After tagging them, she questioned their integrity and accused them of “spreading lies for views," which is damaging to Emma's reputation.

After Chelsea Lazkani clarified in her Instagram story that Chrishell was talking about Emma Hernan, Nicole defended herself through Instagram on August 31.

“Instead of attacking me and accusing me of lying, I think you ladies need to ask your bestie some tough questions. Did she let you know she was directly confronted on camera at the season 7 finale by the wife’s best friend? Even still, I stated this info as a rumor.”

She further wrote in the post that she expected Christell and Chelsea to understand her viewpoint since she stood for the "sanctity of all marriages" and both of her co-stars "have been the victim of extramarital affairs" recently.

The rumors about Selling Sunset star Chrishell emerged when word of her ex-husband, Justin Hartley, dating his current wife, Sofia Pernas, started circulating. Chrishell and Justin started dating in 2013 and got married in 2017. Justin filed for divorce in 2019, creating a rift between the couple, who attended the Golden Globes a few months earlier.

During season 3 of Selling Sunset, Chrishell addressed her personal life and ongoing divorce, which created the rumors that Justin was unfaithful to Sofia. Justin and Sofia have been married since then, and both have denied the rumors.

Chelsea also recently filed for divorce from her husband, Jeff Lazkani, and accused him of infidelity in April. The couple, who have been married since 2017, are going through the divorce proceeding, and Jeff hasn't addressed the allegations.

Aftermath of Selling Sunset cast allegations

The conflict just before the premiere of Selling Sunset season 8 hasn't stopped as Chelsea made an Instagram post on September 1 with Emma by her side and captioned it with: “Protecting her at all costs #NicoleIsTRASH.” The post received a like from Chrishell, who added a comment in the section by calling Nicole a liar.

“HOW DO I LIKE THIS 5 MILLION TIMES?!?!!! Love you both so much. Of course she tried to ruin you in a sneak attack bc she would have been shown to be a LIAR AGAIN if given the chance to speak on it. What a weasel.”

Chrishell continues to show her support through multiple stories, even calling out the CEO of Done and Done Productions, Adam DiVello. She tagged Adam along with an executive producer of the show and Nicole and added dustbin emojis in front of it. She also made an Instagram post on September 1 alongside it, showing her support for both Emma and Chelsea.

“Love these girls so much! The days of us being afraid of lies being told are over. We have receipts and voices. Talk soon! Xo.”

The post contained pictures of Chrishell, Chelsea, and Emma enjoying a meal together. Emma and Chelsea liked it. While Emma showed her love in the comments section and said "love you“ to Chrishell, Chelsea also commented on the post, supporting their claims and not letting "a lie be told again."
