Below Deck Mediterranean season 9 episode 6: Recap
Bri and Elena’s fight continues
Below Deck Mediterranean episode 6, titled Running Aft-er Time, began with Joe and Elena discussing Bri’s sleepover. Since her feud with Elena, Bri has been sleeping in the boys' cabin. Ellie thinks that Elena has been doing drama. She shared:
"She’s just creating drama for no reason. She’s just going out of her way to be like, ‘Oh, I’m a victim.’ Nobody has done anything to you. Shut the f*ck up, get to work… It has nothing to do with me."
Regarding the situation, Ellie also complained to Aesha, who was shocked by the news. Aesha’s solution was for both of them to get over it. Aesha shared in the confessional:
"Bri and Ellie just have this annoying rivalry that is circling around Joe. When people are emotionally distracted, it’s not like you can discipline them out of their emotions. Put on your game face, and let’s focus on the guests who are paying a lot of money to be here."
Later, when Ellie went with the guests, Aesha met Bri in the pantry. When Aesha asked Bri about her sleeping in the boys’ cabin, Bri said that she wanted space from Ellie. When Bri wasn’t happy about it, Aesha said:
"That’s yachting. If you guys can’t sort your sh*t out, I’m gonna have to make some changes … I can’t have you guys fighting all season."
Joe thinks Bri and Ellie are being immature and unprofessional.
Below Deck Mediterranean: Not a good day for Captain Sandy
Meanwhile, Iain continued to defy Captain Sandy. Even after the captain indirectly said no, Iain wanted to store items in the guest area. He didn't accept it even after Joe tried to tell Iain the same thing. Later, the Captain told Iain to return the items to their original place.
Later, when Captain Sandy was ready to haul the anchor, it malfunctioned. Joe found that the starboard windlass wasn’t working. The engineer discovered that windlass batteries had run out because they might have been left on all night.
Captain Sandy seemed quite angry and wanted to know who was responsible. She asked:
"Who left the battery on? Who was the last one to dock the tender?"
When Nathan and Joe weren’t sure, the Captain asked them to wake up Iain to find the truth. Iain said that it probably would have been him. The captain told him that he was supposed to turn the batteries off.
However, the crew tried to haul up the anchor with the help of another windlass. They used a thin rope to tie the chain. As soon as they started to haul up the anchor, it went into free fall.
Captain screamed:
"Put the brake on! Stop the anchor! Stop the anchor!"
Since the anchor had already started to fall, there was no stopping it, and the chain continued to unwind at even more speed.
