From boatmances to problems within the crew, viewers get a glimpse into the yacht lifestyle and how the cast members resolve their issues. The newly released episode 3 highlighted Captain Glenn's concerns over Chef Cloyce's sudden absence from the yacht.

What happened on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 3?
On Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 3, Captain Glenn Shephard got worried when Chef Cloyce Martin was nowhere to be found. Glenn expressed frustration when Cloyce wasn't in the kitchen an hour before the lunch preparations were to begin.
Soon, the crew informed Glenn that Cloyce had left to hang out with the guests as he was confident that the meal prep was almost done.
Glenn went into the kitchen to confirm whether the lunch preparations were complete and was disappointed to see that much of it was still left. The Below Deck Sailing Yacht member asked the rest of the crew to inform Cloyce to return immediately and get back on duty. He said:
"What?! what the f-ck's going on? He's not out there to have fun. He has to be ready to serve at 4. He's gotta understand he's here for a purpose. He's not a guest. I like strong people around me that I can trust. And right now I'm starting to worry. What's he thinking?"
Glenn was unsure if his team could prepare lunch in a limited time slot. Cloyce, on the other hand, told Daisy Kelliher that he wanted to get some "sunshine" after "quite a few days of hard work." Cloyce mentioned:
"I am not only stoked to be able to offer my assistance to the deck team, but after quite a few days of hard work, getting some of that fresh, Spanish sunshine is quite lovely."
When Daisy questioned how the lunch was to be served in a short amount of time in Cloyce's absence, he continued:
"Salad is prepped. I'm gonna throw the chicken and the salmon in the oven. And that right there is a light lunch."
This wasn't the only drama that happened on Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 3, Daisy and Cloyce weren't on the same page. Which is why the two had to face some problems while serving dinner, which upset Glenn even more.
