Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 premiered on October 7, 2024, exclusively on Bravo TV. Cast members for this season include Daisy Kelliher and First Mate Gary King, alongside their new crew mates Chef Cloyce Martin, Chief Engineer Davide Morosi, stews Diana Cruz and Danni Warren, and deckhands Keith Allen and Emma Crouch.
The season 5 episode 9, titled Out, Damned Spot, aired on December 2. Captain Glenn reprimanded the crew for partying inside the boat after Davide got a scratch on his eye, leaving blood spots on the white couch. Glenn called their behavior "disrespectful" and instructed them not to drink and party on the boat.
The episode synopsis reads as the following:
"Captain Glenn is shocked to see what the crew did to the boat during their night off; he doesn't let the crew off the hook for the damage they caused."

On Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5 episode 9, Davide got a scratch on his eye, and drops of blood dropped on the white sofa. This was when the entire crew was drunk and partying together. After they saw that the sofa could get them in trouble with Captain Glenn, the crew called Daisy to recommend a way to get rid of the red spots.
Daisy told her fellow cast mates not to worry and let vanish sit on the spots overnight for it to come off the next day. During her confessional interview, she stated her plan was "to tackle it in the morning," she continued:
"It's gonna come off, put some vanish on it and we'll let it sit overnight. I'm drunk it's two AM, there's not a huge amount we can do so put the vanish on, let it sit overnight. Hopefully it will lift and then we will tackle it in the morning."
The next morning, when Below Deck Sailing Yacht season 5's Captain Glenn saw what had happened to the sofa, he was upset and disappointed. He immediately called everyone for an emergency meeting asking how it had happened. Glenn confronted them for their irresponsible behavior of partying inside the boat and getting drunk. Later he told the cameras, that most of his crew was taking his kindness for weakness.
Glenn stated he wanted to give an important message with this meeting, he said:
"This is disrespectful to the boat, it is disrespectful to the guests that are coming, and it's disrespectful to me. It's like a slap in the face. They are interrupting my kindness for weakness. If they think they can get away with this, they are not."
The upcoming episode will further reveal whether Glenn will be more strict with his crew or if will he give them another chance.
