With episode 16, Below Deck season 11 has reached its last charter. The episode, which came out on May 20, 2024, saw the Captain scolding the crew for their irresponsible behavior.

The episode covered a tiff between Ben and Captain Kerry as the latter pointed out things that the new bosun needed to take care of, while the former accused him of micromanaging.

There was a minor mishap with the new charter, but Paris' quick-wittedness saved the day. The last charter also brought the day of yacht inspection, carried out by the Captain himself. Most people in the crew got called out for their unkempt rooms and lazy behavior.

What happened on episode 16 of Below Deck season 11?

Ben thinks that the captain is micromanaging

When Captain Kerry started the day doing a walkthrough with Fraser, he gave the green light for things under the latter's control. This wasn't the case though, with things under Ben's command. The Captain thought Ben had kept his part of the yacht untidy and demanded him to fix it.

Ben, on the other hand, thought the captain was nitpicking and micromanaging things. He said it was "the last charter" and added:

"We’ve done so well so far. Let us cruise into the end of the season. tIt doesn’t matter."

Sunny and Dylan talk about Ben

In the Below Deck yacht mess, Dylan asked Sunny about her plans of meeting up with Ben after they left the cruise. Sunny said she didn't mind seeing Ben but would still have her guard up after Ben phoned his ex, Camille, in the previous episode.

"I want a dominant man who knows what he wants, respects his woman, and treats her right," Camile mentioned.

Captain Kerry gets mad at the crew

The Captain found yoga mats from the previous reiki session still scattered on the deck. When he found Sunny and Dylan chatting in the crew mess, he asked them to fix the guest areas before they began to eat.

Captain then chanced upon Ben and Kyle chatting in the tender and scolded them for leaving the guest areas dirty. He then went on a rant in the confessional saying,

"It’s not the first day. They know what’s expected of them … Why aren’t you doing your job?"

Paris saves the day

When a guest sent a crème brûlée back on Below Deck, Paris and Sunny gobbled it up. Then, as the guest called it back, there was no brûlée left to serve. So, Paris walked out to the dining area and spoke to the guest who returned it. She stated, "You said I could eat it," which made everybody laugh. The guest said she indeed asked her to have it, which smoothly curved the absence of a brûlée.

The day of cabin inspections

The Captain was surprised to see Kyle and Ben's cabin, as they had put no effort into cleaning it up before the cabin inspection day on Below Deck. Captain remarked on the sight of their room in a confessional saying:

"No attempt to make it clean. It’s like a bomb’s gone off."

He continued:

"There’s no bigger f*ck you to a captain than to go against what he says."

The captain then decided to call Kyle and Ben to the bridge and confront to them about the situation fo their room. When the duo walked up to the captain, he scolded them saying they were being rude and that it was disrespectful to act in such a way especially when Ben was the bosun of the boat.
