Big Brother 26 two-part premiere episodes were released on July 17 and July 18, respectively. The reality TV competition series is back with a new season and features 16 houseguests from different backgrounds. These cast members have the power to vote for the seventeenth contestant. The votes from the house will decide who they want the new cast member to be.
These participants will compete for a grand prize of $750,000 by staying in a house for a limited period. Everyone will be monitored by 90 cameras and 100 microphones each day. As per the Paramount press release, this season's cast includes an "undercover cop' and a "celebrity chef." The July 11, 2024, press release further states:
"This season’s Houseguests include a celebrity chef, a former undercover cop, an event bartender, a former marine, a physical therapist and a crochet business owner, among others. This new group of Houseguests will experience an unforgettable summer with jaw-dropping surprises as “BB AI” takes over the BIG BROTHER house."
The cast of Big Brother 26
1) Angela Murray
The first Big Brother 26 contestant is 50-year-old Angela from Long Beach, California. Murray currently resides in Syracuse, Utah, where she works as a real estate agent. Murray considers herself a modest person who is against bullying. During an interview with ET on July 17, 2024, she stated:
"You will never see me bully anybody because I don't believe in that."
2) Quinn Martin
Martin is another houseguest who is 25 years old. The nurse recruiter currently lives in Omaha and previously lived in Lawton. Quinn told ET she doesn't like when people are mean or disrespectful to others for no reason. Martin is fine with Big Brother 26 cast members backstabbing one another but with proper "sportsmanship."
"There's a certain line I'm not comfortable crossing."
3) Leah Peters
Leah Peters has joined the cast of Big Brother 26 as well. The 26-year-old VIP cocktail server from Miami has big dreams. She previously used to live in Pittsburgh. Leah's motto is never to say never, but her main rule is to avoid lying about something that is very important. In the ET video clip, while referring to Matt from season 12, she said:
"I would never lie about something serious."
4) Tucker Des Laruriers
Tucker's charming personality impresses viewers. The 30-year-old marketing and sales executive from Boston lives in Brooklyn. Des predicts that the show is set in such a way that avoiding romance would be difficult. However, he has no plans of committing to the BB house and is only "here to win." He said:
"I'm nervous for that part but you know it is what it is. I'm here to win, not get in a relationship."
5) Kenny Kelley
Kenny used to be an undercover cop; viewers are interested in seeing how he uses his critical thinking skills and strategy in the competition. The 52-year-old Boston resident is a father of two. As per Kelley's statements, he wants to be mindful of his steps in the house and be completely himself. He said:
"I'm gonna go in there, I'm who I am. I'm gonna have fun but I'm gonna do it the right way."
6) Lisa Weintraub
Lisa is a celebrity chef from Los Angeles. The 33-year-old is ready to join the Big Brother franchise as a contestant on season 26. Lisa is open to doing anything in the house, whether it's once or twice; she doesn't mind taking the lead either. The Big Brother 26 star explained:
"I'll try anything once and I'll do anything a second time if I really want to."
7) Kimo Apaka
Apaka is a Mattress sales rep from Hilo, Hawaii. The 35-year-old brings positive, optimistic energy and good vibes to the Big Brother 26 house. Jokingly Kimo expressed his excitement to enter the house, he told the cameras:
"What I won't do in the Big Brother house is trip up or down those stairs."
8) Makensy Manbeck
The Construction project manager from Houston will showcase her strategy and skills during the weekly challenges in the Big Brother 26 house. Makensy is 22 years old. Last year she graduated from Texas A&M University. In a heartfelt Instagram post, Manbeck expressed gratitude towards God, she wrote:
"My time here brought me incredible friendships, love, heartbreak, a closer relationship with God, and a lot of self-growth."
9) Brooklyn Rivera
Brooklyn is a Business Administrator from Covington. The Dallas resident is 34 years old and is entering the Big Brother 26 house with high hopes of winning the grand prize and the champion title. Rivera told Entertainment Tonight on July 17, 2024, that she won't be participating in anything that has to do with the block, the backdoors, or the slop, she said:
"I will never never never volunteer to be on the block. That is like Big Brother suicide."
10) Matt Hardeman
Matt Hardeman is a 25-year-old Big House 26 cast member. He currently resides in Roswell and his hometown is Loganville. Matt is a Tech sales rep. Matt enters the house with the winner mentality, his eyes are on the grand prize and the champion title. He will do anything to achieve his target even if it involves blindsiding his alliances, Matt stated:
"There is nothing I won't do. I will do whatever it takes, if it takes backstabbing if it takes lies, if it takes bringing this person in telling them one thing, spinning them around, and sending them back out."
11) Chelsie Baham
Baham is a Nonprofit director from Rancho Cucamonga, California. The 27-year-old is ready to embark on a new journey away from friends and family for a limited time period. In her interview with ET on July 17, 2024, Chelsie revealed that she won't be focusing on building alliances or causing drama in the house, explaining why, she said:
"You have to be really smart with the conflict that you're going to decide to get into with other house guests so I'll be really wise to pick and choose my battles."
12) Joseph Rodriguez
Joseph is also one of the Big Brother 26 houseguests. The Video store clerk is 30 years old and resides in Tampa. Fans are excited to see people from different walks of life join the show.
13) Cedric Hodges
Cedric is one of the youngest houseguests on the show. He is a 21-year-old Marine Corps Veteran from Running Springs, California. Cedric currently lives in Boise, Idaho. Cedric revealed that he has no intention of backstabbing his "ride or die." His morals don't allow him not to be loyal to his alliances. The California native values strong connections and bonds over money, he stated:
"I can't do it, personally it doesn't sit right with me. There's you know, some things more important in life than the money like friendships, family."
14) Rubina Bernabe
The Event bartender from Los Angeles is 35 years old. Bernabe's arrival in the Big Brother 26 house will be during the premiere episode part one and part two releases. Before entering the house, Bernabe promised herself that she would not get distracted by a possible showmance and would solely focus on winning the game. She stated:
"I promised myself, I promised my family because they're watching."
15) T-Kor Clottey
Clottey is a 23-year-old from Chicago via London but currently lives in Atlanta. She is a Crochet business owner, and her entry into the Big Brother 26 house has already impressed the viewers. Clottey shared that she is in a happy and healthy relationship so there is no chance of her being involved in an onscreen romance, she mentioned:
"I can say that is one bucket list that item that will not get crossed off."
16) Cam Sullivan-Brown
The Big Brother 26 contestant is a 25-year-old Physical therapist from Bowie. Cam still lives in his hometown and is excited to start his reality TV journey on the CBS show. Sullivan is here to win the competition, no matter what it takes. For the grand prize of $750,000, the Big Brother 26 castmember will do anything, Sullivan said:
"When it comes to $750,000, I'm willing to do anything."
