Big Brother is a popular reality television show in which houseguests compete for power, safety, and control while constantly monitored by cameras. This season has seen dramatic alliance shifts and shocking evictions.
As per the Live Feeds, Makensy Manbeck wins the Power of Veto in week 8 of Big Brother season 26 and makes a dramatic move that shakes the house. Chelsie Baham, the Head of Household (HOH), initially nominates Angela Murray and Kimo Apaka for eviction, with Angela as the primary target.
However, after collaborating with Makensy, Chelsie shifts her focus to targeting Quinn Martin. Makensy uses the Power of Veto (PoV) to save Angela, and Chelsie puts Quinn in her place. It is the third time in this season that PoV has saved Angela, sparking debates among fans and houseguests.
Makensy saves Angela with her Power of Veto in Big Brother
When Makensy Manbeck uses the Power of Veto to save Angela Murray, it changes everything in the Big Brother 26 house. HOH Chelsie Baham changes her mind and focuses on backdooring Quinn Martin instead of Angela.
Quinn is a strong player who has previously betrayed the Pentagon alliance, including Chelsie. After using confidential details to assist Kimo Apaka and T'kor Clottey in blindsiding Cedric, Quinn's disloyalty led to Cedric Hodges' eviction in Week 4. Given Quinn's strong game performance and perceived threat level, the expectation is that he will be evicted as the replacement nominee.
However, keeping Angela in the game raises some issues. Despite being chaotic in the house, Angela has avoided eviction several times because the other houseguests believe they can beat her in the final two. Although she continues to be protected, her shifting loyalties and tendency to disrupt alliances make her an unpredictable player.
On the other hand, Quinn presents a clearer target due to his strategic skills and past betrayals. Ultimately, Makensy’s choice to save Angela could be seen as a strategic move to weaken stronger alliances and create a more favorable path to the end game for both her and Chelsie.
A risky move by Makensy that could backfire in the house of Big Brother
Targeting Quinn Martin may seem strategic, but it also involves significant risks. Chelsie chooses to backdoor Quinn due to his betrayal of the Pentagon alliance and his role in Cedric's eviction. However, Angela, who has a history of breaking alliances, remains in the game because of this move.
By keeping Angela, Chelsie, and Makensy may underestimate her potential to cause trouble. Angela’s unpredictability could easily catch them off guard, especially if she decides to switch alliances or leak crucial information in the coming weeks. Additionally, since Quinn is already a known threat, he might have been a safer target, given that the house was largely aligned against him.
While Makensy’s decision could effectively break up Quinn and Leah Peters' duo, it also risks Angela skating through to the finals if the house continues to perceive her as easy to beat.
Although Makensy and Chelsie may feel confident in their current position, the game’s unpredictable nature means alliances can shift at any moment. Moreover, Angela’s continued presence could disrupt their long-term plans.
One of the strongest players this season, Tucker, has already been eliminated after the houseguests voted him out in episode 21. To make it to the finale, contestants need physical strength and sharp strategic moves.
The episodes of Big Brother air on CBS every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday.
