Big Brother Season 26 released its latest episode on Sunday, August 4, 2024. The houseguests participated in a competition to become the Head of Household (HoH) for Week 3. Cedric Hodges outperformed the other cast members and became the HoH for the week.
Along with the privileges of the coveted position came responsibilities. He had to nominate three contestants for the upcoming elimination. He chose Angela Murray, Kenney Kelly, and Tucker Des Lauriers to be on the block. Soon the castmates started forming alliances, trying to secure their position in the house.
16 contestants entered the house but with Matt Hardeman and Lisa Weintraub's evictions in the previous weeks, only 14 players remained. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, published on July 17, 2024, the current houseguests revealed their winning strategy, explaining why they thought they would win Big Brother Season 26.
Big Brother Season 26's cast members disclose their winning game plans
Rubina Bernabe said she would win because she played for her Filipino community. Her commitment to represent them encouraged her to give tough competition to the other cast members. Cedric believed he would win using his social abilities. He added that he would triumph in competitions and show everyone that he was not to be treated as an underdog.
Joseph Rodriguez stated that he maintained a well-balanced mentality. He claimed he would win the show with the help of his composed personality.
T'Kor Clottey revealed she was a good judge of character and could sense when people tried to sabotage her game. The Big Brother cast member believed she would win by using other people's information to her advantage. Chelsie Baham claimed she would use her training as an athlete and her ability to manage people to win the show.
"I'm good with people, and I'm an athlete. You mix those two together, cut me the check, BB26 - I'm ready to go," said Chelsie.
Meanwhile, Brooklyn Rivera claimed she would walk away with the winner's title because she was resilient. She would not do "anything half-a**." Makensy Manbeck said she would secure the win because she was a "triple threat." She claimed to have a "social game", a "mental game", and a "physical" game.
Kimo Apaka revealed he would win because he was motivated enough to earn the $750,000 prize.
"Hello, $750,000. That's mine. Direct deposited. Already signed that check. Thank you," said Kimo.
Kenney said he would win because it was his time to shine. He wished to emerge victorious and dedicate his triumph to all the "older people going into the house." Tucker stated he would "stab anybody in the back" to progress in the game. He claimed he would win because he would not let emotions jeopardize his gameplay.
"Outside the house, I'll be a sweetheart. Inside the house, call me the devil. I don't care. I'm doing what it takes," noted Tucker.
Leah Peters revealed she entered the house as a 26-year-old and since the number was her lucky number it would help her win Big Brother Season 26. On the other hand, Quinn Martin stated he would win the show because he was the "car crash of everything it takes to win."
Angela Murray said she would win the show because she had more experience than the others due to her age. Lastly, Cam Sullivan-Brown claimed he would emerge triumphant simply because of his smile and charm.
Big Brother Season 26 will return with a new episode on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.
