Unlike the previous seasons, Big Brother season 26 is different as it features AI twists, and one of these includes the power of an AI Instigator. This power was given to one of the players via votes from the viewers. Depending on whether the player uses this power to the fullest, they are awarded a prize for this role as well.

Episode 19 featured eleven contestants as they competed for the position of Head of Household (HoH). The contestants included Angela Murray, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Chelsie Baham, Joseph Rodriguez, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Makensy Manbeck, Quinn Martin, Rubina Bernabe, T’kor Clottey, and Tucker Des Lauriers.

In this episode, Tucker was revealed as the AI Instigator for this week, which meant he had to spread misinformation using the AI avatars of other contestants.

Big Brother season 26 episode 19 was released exclusively on CBS on Sunday, August 25, 2024, at 9 pm ET/PT. The episode synopsis reads:

"The head of household nominates three fellow houseguests for possible eviction."

With this anonymous AI Instigator power, Tucker had the opportunity to win a prize of up to $20,000 if the viewers felt he used his abilities to the fullest. The first thing he did was use Quinn's AI avatar and state that Rubina should've been evicted from the house by casting votes against her. Quinn's avatar also mentioned “Pentagon for life," hinting at the possibility of the alliance continuing.

According to the official CBS press release, the AI Instigator on Big Brother season 26 was responsible for causing drama by spreading fake information and starting rumors. The press release described the power as:

“The AI Instigator Power, when used, allows, for one week, the user to create virtual avatars of other current houseguests, instruct what they’ll say and to whom."

Tucker took this act lightly, but Rubina got upset. She couldn't understand why someone would make her look like a threat and bring doubt into other player's minds. Meanwhile, the new AI Instigator on Big Brother season 26 was focusing on revealing his romantic connection with Rubina, and he didn't want to hide their showmance anymore. He consoled Rubina without disclosing his new position and paid attention to the next task.

After seeing his performance, the viewers will decide if Tucker will be rewarded with $0, $5,000, $10,000, or $20,000. So, Tucker was taking this seriously without disclosing his power to anyone.

Previously on Big Brother season 26, Tucker has used his Veto and Head of Household powers to his advantage. Even Brooklyn claimed that everyone was "sacred" to be on his "bad side" after she was evicted from the house. Being one of the strongest players on the show and using clear strategy, Tucker has already positioned himself in a powerful position.

However, he didn't win the HoH competition in episode 19 and was nominated for the eviction challenge. It will be interesting to see whether his position in the house will change or if he will be able to maintain that same power.

Fans can stream upcoming episodes of Big Brother season 26 exclusively on CBS. Episode 20 is set to release on August 28, 2024, on CBS as well as Paramount Plus.
