Big Brother season 26 will soon reach its conclusion after the winner of the final grand prize will be announced. Last week the jury for the competition series was disclosed and one of the cast members Quinn Martin was evicted from the house.

After Quinn's eviction in episode 27, the remaining houseguests competing for the final grand prize include Cam Sullivan-Brown, Angela Murray, Chelsie Baham, Kimo Apaka, Makensy Manbeck, Leah Peters, Rubina Bernabe, and T’kor Clottey.

Episode 28 featured a balancing game in which the remaining nine participants competed for the Head of the Household. Toward the end of the task, Leah and Cam were the only two players remaining until Cam lost his balance. Hence, Leah was declared as the winner. For her two nominees, she chose Rubina and Kimo who were part of a trio alliance. According to Leah, their game strategy might cost her in the future which is why they needed to be broken apart.

Big Brother season 26 episode 28 was released exclusively on CBS on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. The episode synopsis reads as the following:

"The head of household nominates three fellow houseguests for possible eviction."

Leah won the HOH competition on Big Brother season 26 episode 28

On Big Brother season 26 episode 28, the remaining nine housemates were introduced to an AI bot Jankie. All cast members had to stay in the backyard, “Jankie World" for a whole week. Here they had to sing and dance whenever Jankie wanted them to, and sleep in the backyard.

One of the tasks in this competition determined who the next Head of the Household was to be. This was to test each contestant's physical tolerance as the game lasted more than nine hours with everyone refusing to back down.

The main purpose of the HOH challenge was to see which contestant was able to balance the huge marshmallow against a hot balance the longest. The first two cast members who dropped their marshmallows were T’Kor and Kimo within 28 minutes and one hour, 10 minutes respectively.

Then, next up was Big Brother participant, Makensy who was unable to keep her balance after 2 hours and 28 minutes. Soon, the final four players were competing in the HOH competition, and players started to make offers to one another to drop their marshmallows. Angela told Rubina she and Cam would leave the task if she promised not to nominate them in case she is declared as the new HOH. However, Rubina got distracted by T’Kor and dropped her marshmallow.

After 9 hours and 43 minutes passed, Angela decided to choose to eliminate herself from the HOH task as she had won it before and wanted others to get a chance. Twelve minutes after Angela stepped down, Cam lost his balance and Leah won the new Head of the Household title.

Towards the end of the Big Brother season 26 episode 28, Leah revealed two of her nominees as Rubina and Kimo. She admitted that their alliance was too strong and now was the time to break apart their trio and send one of them home until it was too late.
