Season 26 of the long-running reality TV show Big Brother began airing on July 17, 2024, only on CBS. The show features contestants living in a house together while being monitored constantly with cameras and microphones. They are given tasks and challenges to avoid elimination.

Episode 7 of the show aired on July 31, 2024, and focused on the Power of Veto (PoV) competition that determines the fate of the nominated contestants. The host, Julie Chen Moonves, informed the houseguests that Big Brother season 26 will have several new components. These included the PoV and live eviction challenges, apart from the challenge to become the Head of the Household (HoH).

Chelsea Baha, the current HoH, decided who would be nominated for the PoV competition and chose Kenney Kelley, Angela Murray, and Lisa Weintraub for eviction. The competition will alter the dynamics of the house to gain the Power of Veto.

One of the new components added in season 26 is the PoV, which can significantly change the game as it allows one contestant to remove a nominee from the eviction bench. This then forces the Head of the Household to choose a replacement for the nominee.

The PoV competition, rightly named 'Code Tower', required the houseguests to build a tower made of squares and circular blocks. These blocks are supposed to be tall enough to reach the laser, which will test their physical and mental strength and the ability to keep composure under pressure.

Kenney Kelley successfully found a sturdy base for the tower, which got him an early lead. His understanding of balance and structure while building the tower helped him win the PoV competition.

Brooklyn Rivera gave Kenny a tough competition by reaching the fourth level in her tower. However, the gap between her and Kenney wasn't as close. Meanwhile, the other contestants struggled to build the tower and lost the competition.

Chelsie's game plan in choosing nominations in Big Brother

In episode 7 of Big Brother, the alliances among the 15 remaining contestants were altered. The remaining contestants include Angela Murray, Brooklyn Rivera, Cam Sullivan-Brown, Cedric Hodges, Chelsie Baham, Joseph Rodriguez, Kenney Kelley, Kimo Apaka, Leah Peters, Lisa Weintraub, Makensy Manbeck, Quinn Martin, Rubina Bernabe, T’kor Clottey, and Tucker Des Lauriers.

Chelsie, who is the HoH was in the diary room and considering nominating Kenney, Angela, and Lisa, as they weren't as connected to her. She had, meanwhile, formed a new five-person alliance called "The Pentagon." The people in this alliance included Cedric, Cam, Quinn, and Brooklyn. She also aimed to keep Leah and Makensy safe, as they are her allies.

Quinn formed a new alliance with T'Kor and Kimo, naming themselves "The Visionaries." T'Kor Clottey proposed an unofficial alliance with Chelsie, Cam, and Cedric, with the aim of all of them reaching the jury phase. Angela observed T'Kor spending time with the group and warned Quinn about this.

Angela's actions led her to become a target for several houseguests, and Quinn, who recognized her intent to disrupt alliances, informed T'Kor about it. Despite Angela and Lisa being potential targets, Tucker Des Lauriers volunteered to nominate himself to Chelsie.

Tucker was confident that he would win the challenge against Angela and Lisa in the AI Arena. In the end, Angela apologized to T'Kor and expressed regret for any misunderstanding or misinterpretation of her actions in the house. T'Kor appreciated this and told her to be careful of her actions.
